While initially struggling to integrate into his troop and facing bullying from other monkeys, he was slowly beginning to build confidence and, eventually, find acceptance among his peers. The story captivated millions and spread across the world! CULTURE and ARTS. Wreath Laying Ceremony for the 81st Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Capt. Manuel Colayco Sr. Feb 07, 2026. at the Pasay Sports Complex, Pasay City. The event was attended by family members, Manuel, Jr. Ma. Teresa, Francis Colayco, grandson Francis Navarro and Franchesca Navarro. Organised by the City Government of Pasay through Pasay Culture and Arts Council with its Chairperson Ms. Teresita Calixto-Robles, the Knights of Columbus District Master Manolo Tianzon, FN Rupito Garcia, FN Jowi Cabinte. Guests of Honor Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano represented by Chief Peter Pardo, Cong. Antonino Calixto represented by Mr. Mark Reyes and NHCP Executive Director Carminda Arevalo represented by Mr. Eufemio Agbayani. Other guests from Pasay Police Station, Chief of Police Col Joselito de Sesto, Pasay City Tourism Dept Jun Liwanag, Jr. Brgy 76 Kag Liezl Jaranilla, students from the City University of Pasay represented by Ms. Ivy Ellamil.

Noon ika -5 ng Pebrero, 2026 ay nilunsad ang "Kalinisan sa Lungsod ng Pasay Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas" na may temang "Bayanihan sa Kalinisan" na dinaluhan ng ng sektor ng ating lipunan mula sa Local Government Unit, Mga Barangay Officials, Religious Sector, Youth Sector, Mga Kapulisan, Business Sector, Street Sweepers at ibang mgapanauhin sa Lungsod ng Pasay. Ang layunin ng programang ito ay upang mapalawak pa ang kalinisan sa ating Lunsod at mapangalagaan ang ating kalusugan. Layunin din himukin ang pakikiisa ng ating mamamayan sa bawat Barangay at sustinahin ang kalinisan sa ating kapaligiran. Bahagi ng programang ito ay patimpalak para sa pinakamalinis na Barangay sa ating Lungsod na tatagal ng 6 na buwan. Ang programang ito ay isa sa pangunahing proyekto ng ating Punong Lungsod na si Hon. Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, kasama ang ating City Council headed by Hon. Mark Calixto katuwang si Hon. Representative Antonino Calixto at sa ilalim ng mga Programang Aasenso sa Green and Clean at I Care Mother Earth headed by Director Ms. Tess Robles. At isa sa mga katuwang at bahagi ng proyektong ito ay ang Metro Manila Development Authority. Kaya naman tayo na at makiisa sa "Bayanihan sa Kalinisan 2026".
