The Flag Retreat remains an important tradition in the uniformed service. More than just lowering the Philippine flag during the last Friday of the month, it serves as a reminder of every personnelโs duty, loyalty, and commitment to the country. For members of the Command, the ceremony also highlights the importance of unity, respect, and dedication to public service, especially in carrying out the organizationโs mandate of ensuring maritime safety and security.
The conduct of the Friday Flag Retreat further highlighted the vital role of CGAvCom in strengthening the Philippine Coast Guardโs operational readiness through its continuous commitment to maritime air operations, public service, and the protection of the nationโs maritime interests.

On 21 May 2026, Coast Guard Aviation Command CGAvCom conducted a Bloodletting Activity aboard Headquarters Coast Guard Aviation Command as part of the post-anniversary celebration of the Commandโs 28th Founding Anniversary. The activity served as a meaningful initiative that highlighted the Commandโs commitment to humanitarian service and community engagement beyond its mandate of ensuring maritime safety and security.
The activity was organized to help address the continuing need for safe and sufficient blood supply in hospitals and other medical facilities. In partnership with DZRH Operation Tulong, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Saigon Masonic Lodge, and the 107th, 109th, 111th, 115th, 117th, and 124th PCGA Squadrons, the initiative successfully brought together CGAvCom personnel, volunteers, and stakeholders in support of a life-saving cause. Through the simple act of donating blood, participants were given the opportunity to extend help and potentially save lives.
More than a post-anniversary activity, the bloodletting program reflected the spirit of volunteerism, compassion, and social responsibility among all participants and partner organizations. The Command expressed its gratitude to all partner institutions and Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadrons whose support and participation contributed to the success of the undertaking.

On 25 May 2026, The Coast Guard Aviation Command (CGAvCom) joined via online platform the Simultaneous Signing of Undertaking for the Non-Use of Dangerous Drugs under the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Zero Drug Tolerance Policy 2026.
The activity highlighted the commitment of CGAvCom personnel in supporting the PCGโs campaign against illegal drugs and in maintaining a disciplined, professional, and drug-free organization. During the signing, personnel pledged their adherence to the PCG Zero Drug Tolerance Policy and their responsibility in upholding the standards expected of every Coast Guardian.
In his keynote message, the Commandant, Philippine Coast Guard, ADM RONNIE GIL L GAVAN PCG emphasized the importance of discipline, accountability, and integrity in the service. He reminded all personnel that maintaining a drug-free organization is essential in ensuring the readiness and credibility of the Philippine Coast Guard.

On 05-07 May 2026, Coast Guard Aviation Command (CGAvCom) thru Nursing Service conducted a Hepatitis B awareness and vaccination drive as part of its ongoing commitment to preventive and promotive healthcare for its personnel. The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness and preparedness in preventing Hepatitis B, a potentially serious viral infection that affects the liver and can impact overall operational readiness if left unaddressed.
The activity emphasized the importance of vaccination as the most effective means of protection against Hepatitis B, encouraging personnel to begin and complete the full vaccine series for optimal immunity. In addition, participants were educated on the significance of adhering to safe practices, including proper hygiene, safe handling of medical equipment, and avoidance of high-risk behaviors that may lead to transmission.

On 27โ30 April 2026, the Coast Guard Aviation Command (CGAvCom), through its Weapons, Communication, Electronics, and Information Technology (WCEIT) Weapons and Training Unit, conducted Fi****ms Familiarization, Marksmanship Training, and a Fun Shoot at Coast Guard K9 Firing Range in Taguig City.
To sustain high levels of tactical readiness, the Command conducts an annual training initiative focused on fi****ms proficiency. This program mandates rigorous safety and precision standards, ensuring personnel are fully prepared for operational requirements.
In addition to cultivating advanced proficiency in the operation of both sidearms and rifles, the exercise served as a vital platform for strengthening unit cohesion. The integration of competitive elements alongside technical drills successfully fostered a spirit of camaraderie and collective teamwork among the participants.
