Ang Public Servant o Lingkod-Bayan ay sinumang halal o itinalagang opisyal at empleyado ng pamahalaan na may tungkuling maglingkod sa mamamayan.

Kabilang dito ang: ✅ Punong Barangay
✅ Mga Kagawad
✅ SK Officials
✅ Barangay Secretary
✅ Barangay Treasurer
✅ Barangay Tanod
✅ Barangay Health Workers (kapag nasa serbisyo ng pamahalaan)
✅ At iba pang kawani ng gobyerno

Ayon sa Konstitusyon ng Pilipinas:

> “Public office is a public trust.”

Ibig sabihin, ang posisyon sa gobyerno ay hindi pribilehiyo para sa sariling kapakinabangan kundi isang pananagutang maglingkod nang tapat, may integridad, at may malasakit sa mamamayan.

QUESTION NO. 868 - PWEDE BA AGAD-AGAD PAALISIN ANG RENTER KAPAG HINDI NAKABAYAD NG RENTA?

Hindi pwedeng basta-basta o agad-agad paalisin ang renter dahil lang hindi nakabayad ng renta. Sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 9653, may legal na basehan lang ang landlord na magpaalis ng tenant kung umabot na sa tatlong (3) buwan o higit pa ang hindi nababayarang renta.

Kahit lumampas na sa tatlong buwan, kailangan pa ring dumaan sa tamang proseso. Dapat muna silang bigyan ng pormal na written demand letter para magbayad o umalis. Kung ayaw pa ring umalis, kailangang idulog muna ito sa Barangay para sa conciliation bago magsampa ng ejectment o unlawful detainer case sa korte.

Ilegal ang paggamit ng puwersa, pag-lock ng pinto, o pagputol ng kuryente at tubig para piliting paalisin ang tenant, at maaaring managot ang landlord sa batas. Kung may umiiral namang lease contract, maaaring sundin ito para sa ibang violations, ngunit para sa hindi pagbabayad ng renta sa residential units, ang 3-month rule ng batas ang karaniwang sinusunod.

REMINDER|| The Philippine Air Force strongly reminds all personnel to remain vigilant and practice proper sanitation and preventive measures against Hantavirus. Maintaining clean surroundings, proper food storage, safe cleaning procedures, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment are essential in preventing rodent infestation and possible exposure to the virus. Personnel are likewise encouraged to observe frequent handwashing and immediately report to the nearest Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) if symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, fatigue, cough, or shortness of breath occur following possible rodent exposure. Through discipline, awareness, and collective responsibility, we can ensure the safety, health, and operational readiness of every member of the organization.
