TPB Conducts 2027 Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget Workshop 💜

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) conducted its 2027 Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget Workshop on October 12–14, 2026, in Makati City. The workshop brought together offices to review proposed initiatives, identify gender issues, and strengthen the integration of gender perspectives into the agency’s programs, projects, and operations in support of gender equality and inclusive tourism.

TPB GAD Focal Point System Named Best Committee 💜

The TPB Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) was named Best Committee during the Taunang Parangal sa Bayaning Pilipino on 30 September 2026.

The recognition highlights the Committee’s collective efforts to strengthen GAD mainstreaming through gender-responsive programs, policies, capacity-building, and initiatives that promote a safe, inclusive, and people-centered TPB.

TPB Continues to Advance GAD Mainstreaming 💜

Advancing Gender Equality in Philippine Tourism: Mainstreaming GAD at the 37th Philippine Travel Mart 🌏

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) highlights the importance of Gender and Development (GAD) integration in tourism through its booth at the 37th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) 2026.

Organized by the PHILTOA, the Philippine Travel Mart brings together tourism stakeholders and travelers to discover Philippine destinations, products, and experiences. This year, the TPB booth also provides an avenue to showcase how gender-responsive and inclusive approaches can contribute to a more equitable and sustainable tourism industry.

Through its GAD integration initiatives, TPB aims to raise awareness of the importance of equal opportunities, inclusivity, and meaningful participation in tourism—ensuring that the industry’s growth creates opportunities and benefits for everyone.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝘀: 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼

In August 2026, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) promoted inclusivity and safer, gender-sensitive travel at the 18th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) in Cotabato City. By engaging local government units, tour operators, and travelers, the TPB emphasized that tourism must ensure dignity, safety, and equality across the Philippines.

The GAD booth offered interactive learning through a Safe Spaces Act quiz and GAD Tourism flipcards to educate attendees on harassment protections and inclusive travel. Partnering with the Bangsamoro Women Commission, the TPB highlighted women and marginalized groups as vital leaders, entrepreneurs, and cultural custodians in tourism.
