From May 15โ€“17, the Regional Travel Fair (RTF), organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, showcased the many dimensions of the Cordillera Administrative Region, highlighting how tourism can create deeper connections between travelers and local communities. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญโœจ

Alongside the RTF, TPB strengthened its community-based tourism initiatives through a collaboration with the SoFA Design Institute, immersing design students in weaving communities and local artisan experiences across the Cordilleras. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป Golf also emerged as another gateway to experiencing the region more deeply, reflecting its growing role in international tourism markets.

At John Hay Golf, golfing influencers and enthusiasts discovered more than the fairways through cool mountain landscapes, local cuisine, and heritage spaces that added depth and texture to their travel. โ›ณ

Beyond the fairways, golf in Baguio opens the door to a deeper experience of the Cordilleras.

As part of the Regional Travel Fair and Community-Based Tourism initiatives, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines highlighted golf tourism as more than a sport. It is as a gateway into the regionโ€™s culture, craftsmanship, cuisine, and landscapes.

Set within the pine-covered grounds of John Hay Golf is the world-renowned 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, where cool mountain air, rolling terrain, and scenic views create a distinctly Baguio experience.

By connecting golf with local weaving communities, heritage spaces, and culinary experiences, TPB continues to champion tourism products that are globally relevant while deeply rooted in local identityโ€”creating more meaningful and sustainable visitor journeys.
