Day 2 of the 10th DepEd MIMAROPA Regional Research Summit put the spotlight on the region’s passionate and innovative researchers as they presented studies anchored on the Basic Education Research Agenda (BERA) — each reflecting a shared commitment to evidence-based transformation in education.

Researchers from various Schools Division Offices presented their findings under three key BERA areas:
1️⃣ Governance and Child Protection – highlighting effective leadership, policy implementation, and learner welfare.
2️⃣ Human Resource Development and Inclusive Education – emphasizing teacher growth, equity, and inclusion in learning spaces.
3️⃣ Teaching and Learning – exploring instructional innovations, learner engagement, and assessment strategies that improve outcomes.

The session also featured the presentation of the Best Research Paper Entries, recognizing studies that exemplify excellence, relevance, and impact in the pursuit of educational innovation across MIMAROPA.

Every research shared today stands as a testament to the region’s decade-long dedication to building a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

DepEd MIMAROPA Regional Research Summit 2025 Marks a Decade of Research-Driven Impact and Innovation

Theme: “A Decade of Research-Driven Impact to MIMAROPA Region”

DepEd MIMAROPA proudly opens the 10th Regional Research Summit, gathering educators, researchers, and leaders from across the region to celebrate ten years of transformative research and innovation in education.

The opening program featured inspiring audio-visual presentations, video messages from Schools Division Superintendents, and the acknowledgment of outstanding research participants who continue to shape MIMAROPA’s education landscape.

Chief Education Supervisor Gloria M. Cruz set the tone with a heartfelt Statement of Purpose, followed by a powerful Keynote Address from Undersecretary Wilfredo E. Cabral, who emphasized the role of research in driving organizational excellence and sustainable education reforms.

Performances from the Tagaytay City National High School – Special Program in the Arts added creative flair to the program, while Efraim C. Fernando’s research presentation, “Leadership Model for Millennial School Heads,” highlighted innovation in educational leadership.

Culminating the opening ceremony, Regional Director Dr. Nicolas T. Capulong officially declared the summit open — marking a new chapter in MIMAROPA’s decade-long commitment to data-driven decisions, collaboration, and educational excellence.
