As of 2:00 AM today, 21 September 2026, a Low Pressure area (LPA 09g) is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a "LOW" chance of development into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

As of 2:00 AM today, 17 September 2026, a Low Pressure area (LPA 09e) is being monitored INSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Tropical Storm with international name "DUJUAN" (formerly LPA 09d) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Did You Know?

The Philippines experiences two major monsoon seasons that influence our weather throughout the year:

HABAGAT — Southwest Monsoon
Brings moist air and increased rainfall, particularly over the western sections of the country. Its prolonged rains may contribute to flooding, landslides, and other hazards.

AMIHAN — Northeast Monsoon
Brings cooler and generally drier air from the northeast. It can also bring rainfall, particularly to the eastern sections of the Philippines.
These seasonal wind patterns play an important role in our rainfall, temperature, and overall weather conditions.

Why does this matter?

Understanding our weather patterns helps us anticipate hazards, prepare early, make informed decisions, and build more resilient communities.
