In celebration of National Heritage Month, the Pasig City Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office (CATO) hosted a heritage tour for our senior citizens to honor our shared history.

Pasig River Ferry Tour: A journey through the "Lifeblood of the City," rediscovering its vital role in our culture and history.

National Museum Visit: An immersive experience showcasing the treasures of Filipino artistry and identity.

Through activities like these, we continue to bridge the gap between generations by celebrating the legacy of our past.

In celebration of *National Heritage Month*, students from the Pasig Creative Arts Academy (PCAA) - Basic Photography Class for Beginners recently took part in an inspiring photowalk.

Under the expert guidance of their instructor, *Sir Rommel Bundalian*, these budding photographers explored the architectural wonders and vibrant landmarks that define our heritage.

From historic monuments to local icons, the students captured stunning shots at:

🗼 The Revolving Tower – An iconic silhouette in our city skyline.

🏡 Bahay na Tisa – A silent, elegant witness to Pasig's storied past.

🖼️ Pasig City Museum – The treasure chest of our local culture.

⛪ Immaculate Conception Cathedral – The oldest Marian parish in the country.

🥖 Panaderia Dimas-alang – Framing the history of our city's oldest bakery.

🗿 Gen. Valentin Cruz Statue & Plaza Bonifacio – Honoring the heroes of our revolution.

Through this hands-on experience, our PCAA students are learning that photography is more than just a skill—it is a powerful tool for preserving our identity.

By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 374, May 28 was declared as National Flag Day. This is to commemorate the Philippine flag’s first unfurling after the Philippine Revolutionary Army defeated the Spanish forces in the Battle of Alapan in Imus, Cavite in 1898.

On May 23, 1994, Executive Order No. 79 was issued extending the period of National Flag Day celebration until June 12.

Throughout this period, Filipinos are encouraged to display the Philippine flag in all offices, agencies and instruments of government, business establishments, schools, and private homes.

The Philippine flag is the embodiment of all our country’s ideals, culture, and tradition. And this celebration allows us to give respect and reverence to our symbol of national sovereignty and solidarity.
