When NEAP breathed into life through Administrative Order No. 282 in 1992 prior the beginning of its journey on 1985, it has served a steady source of support for the country’s pedagogical learners through its premier professional development programs. Rooting on the belief that every teacher deserves the opportunity to improve, NEAP has been every teacher’s sanctuary for growth.

NEAP is an avenue for the department’s mission of support and empowerment by its true north 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. This mission serves as the sunshine that fuels every initiative, ensuring that the flames of their professional growth burn brightly for every teacher and school leader from the smallest rural schools to the largest urban campuses.

In 2019, this commitment peaked with a new height with the NEAP transformation designed to deeply reach each teacher with its more accessible and programmatic professional development programs. Waving its banner of quality, 𝗧𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗸 𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗣, it holds a gold standard in educational excellence for every training course and program.

Moreover, NEAP commits to a lifelong journey of growth. It honors that an educator’s professional development journey is a bright and lifelong trek of discovery. Anchoring every program with professional standards, NEAP’s service acts as a public statement of accountability and support. This reflects the academy’s high regard to the teaching profession. It is built on a positive culture that makes the personal growth and integrity of every educator radiate throughout school communities.

𝐁𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — Moving to fortify the transition of newly appointed and designated education leaders, the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) officially conducted the Development Workshop on the Onboarding Program Modules for Supervisors (Part 1) from April 20 to 23, 2026, at the NEAP Training Facility inside Teachers Camp.

The four-day intensive workshop brought together select content writers, technical experts, and the NEAP Program Management Team to address the persistent gap between current field competencies and the high expectations set by the Philippine Professional Standards for Supervisors.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐆𝐚𝐩𝐬

The primary focus of this first leg was the development of a comprehensive Learning Resource Package specifically designed for newly hired supervisors across all governance levels. In line with the program guidelines, the newly developed modules aim to provide high-impact training that will enhance job performance, strengthen administrative accountability, and promote effective workplace management among all DepEd supervisors.

Headed by NEAP Director III Michael Joseph P. Cabauatan, along with Project Development Officer V Marife T. Morcilla, the PMT provided the strategic oversight necessary to align all workshop outputs with NEAP mandates, Republic Act 9155, and existing DepEd policies.

𝐀 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬

A specialized pool of 31 content writers, composed of Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Chief Education Supervisors, Education Program Supervisors, and Public Schools District Supervisors from various regional and division offices nationwide. Under the initiative's terms of reference, these content writers were tasked with drafting detailed instructional blueprints, concise presentations, and self-paced digital tasks. Resource persons grounded in the field provided technical expertise, ensuring all materials directly reflected Key Result Areas and the modern realities of school supervision.

The development process was heavily enriched by the participating Central Office Directors, who infused the modules with high-level technical expertise. These directors provided critical guidance on policy alignment to ensure all instructional materials strictly conform to the latest DepEd orders and national educational reforms. Furthermore, they grounded the modules in macro-level strategic governance to help supervisors navigate complex institutional frameworks, while enforcing strict quality assurance to guarantee that the competencies being taught meet DepEd standards of educational leadership.

Following the Baguio leg, the development pipeline will move to a face-to-face Part 2 Development Workshop would follow from June 15 to 18, 2026, at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Cebu City.
