"When a 10-year-old girl becomes a mother, she loses the opportunity to fully grow into her potential."
- USEC. Lisa Grace S. Bersales, Ph.D.
No child should be forced to give up her childhood and future too soon. We must work together, parents, educators, and communities, to protect our young people and provide them with the support and opportunities they deserve.
Let’s continue pushing for stronger policies and collective action to end adolescent pregnancy and ensure every young Filipina can grow, lead, and thrive.

The CPD Central Office successfully conducted its 2025 Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR) Validation on March 19, 2026, at the CPD Region VI Conference Room and via Zoom Virtual Platform.
The activity brought together the regional office and the CPD Central Office Validation Team to review and validate performance targets, ensuring alignment with national priorities and organizational goals. It also served as a venue to present the latest regional demographic trends and assess the progress of Population and Development (POPDEV) strategies in Western Visayas.
Regional Director Mr. Harold Alfred P. Marshall highlighted key demographic developments in the region, while Ms. Mai Quiray, Division Chief of the IMCD and Ms. Patricia Santos Planning Officer III facilitated discussions on objectives, program insights, and strategic directions.
The validation process also identified gaps and generated recommendations to strengthen the localization of the Philippine Population and Development Plan of Action (PPD-POA) 2023–2028, ensuring more responsive and inclusive interventions.
Through this initiative, CPD Region VI reaffirms its commitment to enhancing program delivery, improving performance accountability, and advancing sustainable population and development outcomes in the region.
