His simple yet commendable action reflects his unwavering integrity and dedication to doing what is right.

The PRAISE Committee of LGU Pilar proudly recognized the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan for its outstanding performance in the assessment for the Local Legislative Awards (LLA), conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). The office not only successfully passed the evaluation but also garnered the highest score among all Sangguniang Bayan offices in the Province of Sorsogon.

The committee also extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Bayan, headed by Ms. Frances Marie L. Botin, SB Secretary, for their unwavering support and invaluable technical assistance throughout the assessment process.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Dennis A. Sy-Reyes, successfully conducted a dental check-up event for LGU employees and Job Order workers. This initiative was part of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness in the workplace.

Dental check-ups were held every Monday and Friday throughout September 2025 and were extended until October 3, 2025, to ensure that as many employees as possible could benefit. The event was conducted and facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Health Officer, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer.

The initiative aimed to promote oral health and help employees feel more confident in their smiles.😁🦷

On October 2, 2025, the Local Government Unit of Pilar successfully conducted a Financial Literacy Reorientation at Parau Hall A, LGU Pilar Building. The training was held in compliance with the Department of Economics, Planning and Development Memorandum Circular No. 2025-02, as well as the DILG advisory dated July 8, 2025. It was also part of the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

The training was facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer, and Atty. Delan John M. Llarena, Municipal Budget Officer, served as the Learning Service Provider. Atty. Llarena shared his expertise and valuable insights on the topic, which greatly benefited the 35 participants.

The objective of the training was to help participants understand how money works, how to earn, manage, invest, and spend it effectively. 💙💵💰

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar successfully conducted a seminar on lifestyle diseases on September 30, 2025, as part of the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. The event was held at Parau Hall C, LGU Pilar Building. The seminar was organized and facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Health Officer, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer.

The seminar focused on “Healthy Living at Work: Preventing Hypertension and Diabetes.” Its goal was to help LGU employees better understand the causes, risk factors, and complications of hypertension and diabetes, while also encouraging healthy lifestyle choices that can prevent or manage these conditions.

The session not only provided valuable information but also aimed to inspire participants to make positive changes in their daily routines for a healthier life. 👨‍⚕️💙💙

It was facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Health Officer, led by Dr. David Daza, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer, headed by Ms. Jeresa L. Mediana.

This initiative reaffirms the LGU’s commitment to the well-being of its employees and workers, ensuring a healthy and efficient workforce dedicated to serving the community.

On September 22, 2025, during the Flag Raising Ceremony, the PRAISE Committee of LGU Pilar recognized and awarded three elective officials from the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan with a Certificate of Recognition for bringing pride to our Local Government Unit. The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar successfully conducted a Mental Health Training on September 18 and 19 at Parau Hall A, LGU Pilar Building. The activity was facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Health Officer, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer.

The training was conducted in two batches, September 18 and 19, with around 40 LGU employees and job order workers participating each day. This training is part of the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary of LGU Pilar this September.

The training aims to raise awareness on mental health, promote overall well-being among government employees, and equip participants with practical strategies to manage stress, maintain work-life balance, and foster a healthier workplace environment.

In continuation of the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Local Government Unit of Pilar, headed by our ever-supportive Municipal Mayor Dennis A. Sy-Reyes, successfully conducted a Blood Letting Activity on September 15, 2025, at Parau Hall A & B, 3rd Floor of the LGU Pilar Building.

The activity was facilitated by the Office of the Municipal Health Officer, with the assistance of personnel from the Department of Health (DOH) – Bicol Center for Health Development and DOH-HRH Sorsogon, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer.

A total of 79 generous individuals participated, 59 of whom successfully donated blood. The donors included LGU Pilar employees, job order workers, Pilar Community College students, members of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Pilar, barangay officials, and constituents from various barangays.

We deeply appreciate everyone who took the time to donate and share the gift of life. Your selfless act embodies the true spirit of public service and compassion.💙💙
