The LGU-Pintuyan Tourism Office, announces a new and safer way of conducting Whale Shark Interaction.

Guests arriving on large tourist boats will be transferred to smaller boats at the Whale Shark Interaction Center before proceeding to the interaction area.

Your cooperation helps us protect our whale sharks and ensure a safer, more organized experience for everyone.

🌊 WATER SAFETY SYMPOSIUM (WSS) & PUBLIC SAFETY AND AQUATIC RESCUE (PSAR) – 35TH EDITION 🚨

The Municipality of Pintuyan is strengthening its commitment to safe, responsible, and sustainable tourism through the conduct of the Water Safety Symposium (WSS) and Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue (PSAR) – 35th Edition.

📅 September 8–9, 2026
📍 Pintuyan Municipal Gymnasium, Pintuyan, Southern Leyte

The training is designed specifically for our tourism spotters, tour guides, and boat operators, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills in water safety, emergency response, aquatic rescue, and tourist safety.

This important capacity-building activity will be conducted by the Philippine Life Saving – Eastern Visayas Center, in collaboration with:

🚒 Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Pintuyan Fire Station
🔥 BFP Region VIII
🚑 Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal (OPFM) – Southern Leyte
🏝️ Municipality of Pintuyan

Through this initiative, we aim to develop a competent, prepared, and safety-oriented tourism workforce, particularly in our marine and coastal tourism activities.
