๐๐๐๐: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Camotes together with its Sub-Stations conducted a gift-giving activity for local fisherfolk during seaborne patrol operations across the Camotes Islands, today, 10 October 2026.
A total of 33 fisherfolk received essential grocery items as part of the pre-anniversary activities of the Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV) in celebration of its 59th Founding Anniversary with the theme, โ59 Years of Excellent Maritime Service: Protecting Our Waters, Serving Our Nation.โ
The initiative is aligned with the Philippine Coast Guardโs (PCG) Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) Program, which promotes stronger partnerships with coastal communities. By integrating humanitarian assistance into its maritime patrol operations, CGS Camotes extends its service beyond maritime safety and security, recognizing the vital role of local fisherfolk in the coastal communities it serves.
Through this initiative, CGS Camotes reaffirms its commitment to delivering responsive, people-centered maritime service while fostering stronger relations with the communities within its area of responsibility.
