What a way to finish the journey. 🚀

After weeks of learning, mentoring, refining ideas, testing assumptions, and preparing for this moment, the ASPIRE Startup Bootcamp 2026 – Capiz Province officially culminated with its Final Pitching and Provincial Demo Day on September 23, 2026, at the NC Training Room, DTI Capiz.

There was relief. There was joy. And most of all, there was that unmistakable feeling of seeing hard work finally come together.

Six aspiring startups took the stage and presented how their ideas could become real, sustainable, and impactful enterprises:

Pao Pinoy • Greenfolds • Bitter Wrap Co. • Modulo Customs • Nutricream • Cognitv Technologies

Each pitch represented more than a business concept. Behind every presentation were weeks of questions, revisions, doubts, breakthroughs, and the courage to stand before a panel and say: “This is what we are building.”

The culminating activity opened with remarks from Merian A. Asas, OIC Provincial Director of DTI Capiz, followed by messages of support and encouragement from Mutya D. Eusores, Acting Regional Director of DTI Region VI, and Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga, Regional Director of DOST Region VI.

Guiding and challenging our startups during the Final Pitching were our distinguished panel of judges:

Juafe M. Abareles, Provincial Science and Technology Director, DOST Capiz Chennie Antonnette Arcilla, PDO I, DICT Capiz Ma. Hazel V. Napolis, Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist / BDU Head, DTI Capiz

Their questions, observations, and recommendations gave our startups something even more valuable than a score—perspective on what comes next.

ASPIRE may have reached the end of its Bootcamp, but for these founders, this is only the beginning.

From an idea on paper to standing in front of a panel.
From uncertainty to clearer direction. From simply wanting to start—to finally being ready to ASPIRE bigger.

Congratulations to all our startups, mentors, resource persons, partners, and everyone who became part of this journey.

The Bootcamp ends. The building begins. 🚀

Western Visayas BIZCONEX on Wheels 2026 made its fourth stop in the Seafood Capital of the Philippines—the Province of Capiz, where MSMEs and key stakeholders gathered on July 29, 2026, at San Antonio Resort, Brgy. Baybay, Roxas City, for another milestone in DTI Region VI's regional roadshow.
Serving as the fourth provincial leg of the roadshow, the conference provided MSMEs with a dynamic platform to gain practical business knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore innovative and sustainable business strategies that strengthen the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
In her welcome message, DTI 6 Acting Regional Director Mutya Eusores underscored the significance of celebrating National MSME Month and recognized the invaluable contributions of MSMEs in creating jobs, generating opportunities, and strengthening local economies. She emphasized that their determination and perseverance continue to inspire collective efforts toward a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous Western Visayas.
The conference was further strengthened by Messages of Support from Engr. Fulbert Woo, Regl Governor of PCCI Region VI, Capiz Vice Governor James Magbanua; Ms. Syvil Grace Dueñas, representing Congressman Howard Guinto; and City Councilor Midelo Ocampo, representing Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
A highlight of the conference was the Fireside Chat: "The Capiz Province Economic Agenda for MSME Growth," featuring Atty. Arthur John Biñas, Provincial Administrator, representing Governor Fredenil Castro, and moderated by Engr. Dale Bernas, President of JEFARELID Corporation. During the discussion, the Provincial Government of Capiz showcased its flagship programs that advance enterprise development and agricultural innovation, including the establishment of the Provincial Economic Development and Investments Office (PEDIPO) to strengthen local economic governance and enterprise support services. Through PEDIPO, the province has implemented various initiatives such as the Maragtas Pasalubong Center, a dedicated marketing hub for locally made Capiz products, and the enhancement of the Capiz Government Business Center, creating a more conducive environment for MSMEs. These initiatives, along with the province's other development accomplishments, reflect Capiz's continuing commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening local enterprises, and promoting inclusive economic growth.
The learning sessions continued with presentations from distinguished resource speakers, who shared valuable insights on Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Solutions for MSMEs, the Western Visayas Export Marketing Roadmap, and inspiring success stories from business leaders. The conference also engaged participants in the Workshop on Developing MSME Policy Solutions, fostering collaborative discussions that generated practical policy recommendations toward building a more resilient, innovative, and competitive MSME sector.
To our speakers, partners, participating agencies, exhibitors, and the MSMEs who joined us—thank you for making the Capiz Leg a resounding success.
