IN THE MATTER OF THE CESSATION OF ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE NOVEMBER 2, 2026 BARANGAY AND SANGUNIANG KABATAAN ELECTIONS BY VIRTUE OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12326

What does this mean?

โ€ข All activities related to the November 2, 2026 BSKE, except those specifically provided for in the Resolution, are stopped and discontinued. This includes the scheduled filing of Certificates of Candidacy and the campaign period.

โ€ข The prohibitions imposed in connection with the 2026 BSKE under the election calendar and applicable laws, rules, and regulations are lifted.

โ€ข Voter registration for the 2028 National and Local Elections (NLE) will resume in the second week of November 2026.

Just In | PBBM NILAGDAAN NA ANG BARANGAY AT SK 5-YEAR TERM EXTENSION BILL

Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Republic Act no. 12326 na nagtatakda ng limang taong termino para sa mga Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials.

Dahil dito, ang susunod na Barangay and SK Elections ay itatakda sa November 2028.

Ayon kay PBBM, ito raw ay hindi dagdag na panahon sa puwesto kundu dagdag na panahon para sa pananagutan ng taumbayan.
