The Agipawa Farmers Irrigators Association, Inc. remains actively engaged in rice and corn production, serving 123 members cultivating approximately 310 hectares of agricultural land.

The project site and facilities are functional and continuously operational, with the Mini 4WD Farm Tractor consistently supporting efficient land preparation activities and improving farm productivity.

Post-harvest facilities, particularly the drying pavement, are currently in use; however, it has limited capacity to accommodate the growing number of farmers, especially during peak harvest season.

Overall, the project continues to demonstrate strong utilization, functionality, and farmer-led management, with ongoing efforts to further enhance post-harvest efficiency.

Outputs may be written on paper, outcomes may be felt in the present, but true impact echoes in the next generation. That is why we must boldly engage the youth to amplifying their voices, unlocking their potential, and guiding them toward a purpose greater than themselves.

Findings: The Provincial Government of Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur provided the construction materials for the facility, while the Association contributed the labor counterpart. Over time, the structure has deteriorated, and water accumulation has been observed along its sides, affecting its functionality and usability.

The current rental policy imposes a fee of PHP 20.00 per sack for volumes exceeding ten (10) sacks, while drying services for fewer than ten sacks are provided free of charge. Income generated from the facility is managed by the purok, considering that the land was donated by the community. On an annual basis, net income is shared equally between the purok and the Association. However, utilization of the facility has significantly declined, as most farmers now sell their harvests directly to buyers. Only minimal volumes, primarily intended for household consumption, are dried in the facility, resulting in limited revenue generation.

Findings: The initially provided unit was not utilized due to its unsuitability for the association’s operational needs. As a result, the association requested a replacement unit with a more appropriate design. The rental rate was originally set at PHP 5,000 per hectare (three passes), inclusive of operator and fuel, but was later reduced to PHP 1,500 per hectare, with the lessee assuming responsibility for the operator and fuel. Income generated is reportedly allocated for maintenance. The unit remains functional and is currently under the custody of the chairman.

Utilization remains limited, with a maximum of three members able to avail of the unit per cropping season on a first-come, first-served basis. This is due to factors such as the distance between farm areas, inconsistent payment by some members, non-compliance with association bylaws, and the general inactivity of most members.

Findings: PGAS provided cement and steel, while the association contributed gravel and labor through bayanihan. The drying pavement has not generated income and is rarely used for drying. It now shows signs of deterioration and is mainly utilized as a basketball court and venue for purok activities.

Beneficiaries also identified a cemented access road as their priority need, citing that the current road condition damages crops, such as bananas, and results in lower selling prices.
