At approximately 9:00 AM today, PDRRM Officer Armando R. Gomez, EMDRCM, participated in the Area Command Team (ACT) close-out meeting following the successful conclusion of Palarong Pambansa 2026.The session was presided over by ACT Commander Mark Gil P. Calang of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD). Ms. Josephine B. Ambongan, Provincial Administrator, attended on behalf of Governor Santiago B. Cane, Jr., the designated Responsible Officer (R.O.) for the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS). The primary agenda centered on reviewing the Event Summary and key Operational Highlights of the national sporting event.

May 31, 2026 | Emergency Coordination Meeting for the Palarong Pambansa 2026 Closing Ceremony

The personnel of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Agusan del Sur, led by PDRRM Officer Armando R. Gomez, EMDRCM, conducted an emergency coordination meeting with PLTCOL. Alex L. Luna, Chief of the Provincial Operations Management Unit (POMU) of the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office.

:🗓️ HAPPENING NOW (May 31, 2026 | 11:45 AM): PDRRM Officer Armando R. Gomez, EMDRCM and the PPIO-ADS team, led by Mr. PJ Dela Peña, are attending the Security & Traffic Management Plan Briefing at the ADS PPO Kabalikat Multi-Purpose Hall.
This crucial briefing ensures a safe and secure community in preparation for the upcoming Closing Ceremony of Palarong Pambansa 2026. 🏆
The session is being conducted by ADS PPO Operations Officer PLT. COL. Alex L. Luna, alongside PLT. COL. Rudy L. Elandag from R9, PRO13. 👮‍♂️🚔

May 29, 2026 | The PDRRMO personnel, led by Department Head Armando R. Gomez, PGAS Co-Chair of the Health and Emergency Response Committee for Palarong Pambansa 2026, conducted an inspection on crowd positioning and crowd management during the secondary games for Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, as well as Basketball Boys.

The inspection was carried out in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and law enforcement personnel to ensure public safety, orderly crowd movement, and effective security operations throughout the event.

PDRRMO Head Armando R. Gomez, PGAS Co-Chair of the Health and Emergency Response Committee for Palarong Pambansa 2026 led the presentation of the BFP Deployment Plan for Palarong Pambansa 2026.

May 28, 2026 | PDRRMO Head Armando R. Gomez, PGAS Co-Chair of the Health and Emergency Response Committee for Palarong Pambansa 2026, led a coordination meeting with augmentation personnel from the Philippine Air Force and Philippine Army Reservists, and ROTC officers for crowd management during the semi-final and final games of the Palarong Pambansa 2026.
