Umaabot na sa 9,013 pamilya ang napagkalooban ng tig-10 kilo ng bigas sa ilalim ng Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Noong Setyembre 29, mayroong 4,261 pamilya mula sa limang barangay ang nakatanggap ng bigas. 2,508 pamilya naman ang napagkalooban ng bigas noong Setyembre 30 at 2,244 pamilya rin noong Oktubre 1.

Ang pamamahagi ng bigas ay pinondohan sa pamamagitan ng Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), na naglalayong makapaghatid ng tulong sa mga komunidad.

Ang pamamahagi ng bigay ay pinangangasiwaan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), katuwang ang iba pang tanggapan sa ilalim ng pamahalaang panlalawigan, gayundin ang mga Lokal na Pamahalaang Bayan.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is conducting strict monitoring of the proper use of agricultural land by agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Palawan, and title cancellations are implemented for those who fail to comply.

The Provincial Government of Palawan has issued an official statement on the confirmed case of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Barangay Concepcion, Agutaya, while stepping up containment and disease-control measures to prevent the spread of the virus to other areas.

The case was confirmed through laboratory tests conducted by the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), with 40 samples collected from Barangay Concepcion testing positive for ASF on Sept. 22. | via Rachel Ganancial/PIA

Nagwagi ang mag-aaral ng Narra Integrated School na si Timothy Xanti Palermo sa 2026 World Food Day Regional On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest na isinagawa sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ngayong Oktubre 1.

Ang 2026 World Food Day Regional On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest ay pinangasiwaan ng Department of Agriculture (DA)-MIMAROPA, Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) katuwang ang Department of Education (DepEd).

Ang tema ng World Food Day ngayong taon ay “Innovate Today. Nourish Tomorrow.”

Si Timothy Xanti Palermo ang magiging kinatawan ng Rehiyong MIMAROPA para sa National On-the Spot Poster Making Contest na nakatakda sa Oktubre 13-14, 2026, sa Maynila.

Nakuha naman ni Carl Francis Cabelto, mag-aaral ng Sta. Monica Elementary School sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ang ikalawang puwesto habang si Kiella Angela Cabana ng Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School ang nakakuha ng ikatlong puwesto.

Ang iba pang paaralan na nagpadala ng kalahok ay ang Alfredo Gregorio Memorial Elementary School sa bayan ng Bataraza, Loreto-Santos Lanzanas Central School, Francisco Ubay Memorial Elementary School at East Central School sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.| via Orlan C. Jabagat

Kapihan sa PIA kasama ang Department of Trade ang Industry (DTI)-Palawan sa pamumuno ni Provincial Director Hazel DP Dalvador upang talakayin ang Consumer Welfare Month ngayong Oktubre.

Ang Kapihan sa PIA ay magkatuwang na itinataguyod ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Palawan at ng SM City Puerto Princesa.
