𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙏𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙊𝙛𝙛 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 5𝙩𝙝 𝙆𝘼𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙀𝙉𝙂𝘼𝙉 𝙁𝙀𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙑𝘼𝙇 2026! 🏀

The much-awaited Basketball Tournament of the 5th Kaambengan Festival has officially started earlier today, September 24, 2026, at Barangay San Miguel Covered Court, Linapacan, Palawan!

Players and teams gathered this morning for the opening program and orientation before the games began.

The tournament will run from September 24-29, 2026, as part of the week-long festival celebration.

The Provincial Government of Palawan, through the Provincial Sports Office, is providing full support with official basketball referees, announcer, buzzer, and digital scoreboard upon the request of the Barangay Government of San Miguel, headed by Punong Barangay Wilson T. Prudente.

The Provincial Government of Palawan successfully held the Final Round of the 3rd Palawan Tourism Quiz Bee for PGP Employees on September 17, 2026, at the VJR Hall, Provincial Capitol Complex, Puerto Princesa City.

The Provincial Sports Development Office proudly finished as 3rd Runner Up, represented by Mr. Rexel A. Rosauro, Program Manager, Mr. Lander Arzaga, Sports Announcer, and Mr. Alexis Andrew Alolor, Sports Admin.

We proudly joined the CSC Parade held September 16, 2026 as part of the 126𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙡 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣!

The 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, together with all departments of the Provincial Government of Palawan, marched in honor of our dedicated public servants who continue to serve with integrity, excellence, and love for our province.

The Provincial Sports Development Division, through our sports personnel Ms. Jessa Mae L. Tepolo, is conducting Arnis Training for the arnisadors of Iraan-Sagpangan National High School, Aborlan North District today, September 11, 2026.

This is in support to the request of Principal Arlene V. Manalo as the school prepares for the upcoming Palaro and in line with the School Sports Program that develops discipline, teamwork and resilience among learners.

Thank you Iraan-Sagpangan NHS for the trust and partnership in nurturing our young Palaweño athletes.

The Provincial Sports Development Division is currently serving as Basketball Referee for the 28th Southern Palawan Municipalities Friendship Meet happening on September 9-11, 2026 at the Municipal Event Center, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙋. 𝙍𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙡, 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣.

The meet brings together Local Government Units of Southern Palawan to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, teamwork and unity through various activities including basketball, volleyball, zumba dance, singing & modern dance contest, and laro ng lahi.

We are committed to uphold fair play and integrity in all basketball games throughout the competition.

Our Sports Trainers, Games Facilitators, and Announcers are on-site as Officiating Officials and Clinicians to lead the clinic.

This activity is part of our continuous effort to promote sports, wellness, and camaraderie among our employees in the Provincial Government.

𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙑𝙄𝙉𝘾𝙄𝘼𝙇 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙎 𝘿𝙄𝙑𝙄𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙎 2-𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙎 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙃 𝙎𝙐𝙈𝙈𝙄𝙏 2026 𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙐𝙀𝙍𝙏𝙊 𝙋𝙍𝙄𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙎𝘼 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔

‎The Provincial Sports Division of the Province of Palawan, under the Office of the Governor, Hon. 𝘼𝙢𝙮 𝙍𝙤𝙖 𝘼𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙯, actively participated in the 2-Day Sports and Youth Summit 2026 held on September 7–8, 2026 in Puerto Princesa City. The summit was hosted by the City Government of Puerto Princesa, in collaboration with the Philippine Sports Commission (𝙋𝙎𝘾).

‎The summit brought together key stakeholders in sports and youth development, including representatives from the academe, sports officials, sports clubs and organizations, Provincial Sports Division, Municipal Sports Coordinators, Department of Education (𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙀𝘿), and other concerned government agencies and organizations.
‎
‎Representing the Provincial Sports Division, Provincial Sports Program Manager Mr. 𝙍𝙚𝙭𝙚𝙡 𝘼. 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙤 personally met with PSC Chairman Hon. 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝘾. 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙤 and other PSC Commissioners. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the current status, needs, challenges, and development priorities of sports in the Province of Palawan.

‎Among the matters raised was the need for greater support in the training, licensing, and accreditation of technical officials in various sports disciplines in the province. This initiative aims to establish a quality, updated, reliable, and fair officiating system, ensuring that local competitions are conducted in accordance with current standards and rules.
‎
‎Mr. 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙤 also emphasized the importance of bringing down and making available more PSC programs and initiatives at the provincial and municipal levels, particularly those focused on grassroots sports development, to provide greater opportunities for young athletes and aspiring sports enthusiasts throughout Palawan.

‎The Provincial Sports Division expresses its sincere appreciation to the City Government of Puerto Princesa, through the City Sports Office headed by Atty. 𝙍𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝘼𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖,City Sports Director, for the continued partnership and for inviting the Provincial Sports Division and Municipal Sports Coordinators to participate in this meaningful summit.

‎The activity further strengthened collaboration among sports stakeholders and opened opportunities for stronger coordination between the Province of Palawan, Puerto Princesa City, Philippine Sports Commission, 𝙇𝙂𝙐𝙨, 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙀𝙙, academe, and sports organizations toward the common goal of advancing sports and youth development in the province.
