DTI-Palawan Conducts Entrepreneurial Training for MSMEs in Bataraza

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan, through Negosyo Center Bataraza, conducted an Entrepreneurial Training for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on 15 October 2026 at the Barangay Marangas Livelihood Center, Bataraza, Palawan, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the capabilities of local enterprises.

The activity was attended by eighteen (18) participants composed of aspiring and existing entrepreneurs seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in business management and enterprise development.

Business Counselor Almaun Didik of Negosyo Center Bataraza discussed the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, focusing on entrepreneurial traits, business opportunities, and the rewards and risks associated with starting and managing a business. Participants were also introduced to the various programs and services offered by DTI Palawan through the Negosyo Center, designed to support MSME growth, competitiveness, and sustainability.

Through the training, participants gained valuable insights into the qualities and competencies needed to become successful entrepreneurs, enabling them to make informed business decisions and effectively navigate the challenges of business operations.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan, through Negosyo Center Bataraza, conducted a Seminar on Packaging and Labelling Requirements on 12 October 2026 at the Barangay Marangas Livelihood Center, Bataraza, Palawan, as part of its continuing efforts to enhance the competitiveness and market readiness of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Trade-Industry Development Specialist (TIDS) Maylene B. Delliro discussed the fundamental principles of product packaging and the eleven (11) mandatory food labeling requirements prescribed under Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Administrative Order No. 2014-0030. Participants were provided with essential information on regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and the role of proper packaging and labeling in improving product presentation and marketability.

The activity was attended by eleven (11) participants from the food service and processed food sectors. Through the seminar, participants gained a better understanding of packaging and labeling standards, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to develop compliant, consumer-ready products and enhance their readiness for market expansion.

Through initiatives such as this, DTI Palawan continues to support the development of local enterprises by promoting compliance with industry standards, enhancing product competitiveness, and fostering sustainable business growth.

More than 130 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from MIMAROPA will showcase local products at a four-day trade fair in Makati City next week, as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) seeks to surpass the ₱13 million in sales and commitments generated by the event last year.

DTI Palawan Joins DSWD Intervention Caravan for 4Ps Beneficiaries in Brooke's Point

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan, through Negosyo Center Brooke's Point, participated in the DSWD Intervention Caravan conducted for 4Ps beneficiaries from Barangays Maasin, Aribungos, and Calasaguen.

During the activity, DTI showcased its programs and services focused on entrepreneurship development, livelihood enhancement, and microenterprise growth, providing beneficiaries with valuable information on available support mechanisms for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.

The initiative highlights the shared commitment of government agencies to empower communities through sustainable livelihood opportunities and inclusive economic development.
