The UP NCPAG, through its Governance Reform, Innovation, and Transformation Research Laboratories (GRIT Labs) Futures Thinking Expert, Priscilla Denise G. Pigao, delivered a presentation titled โThe Future of Local Public Service Delivery: Data-Driven Scenario Building for Policy Makingโ at the 2025 Capacity Development Exposition (CapDev Expo) held on August 27โ28, 2025 at the Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City. Her session introduced futures thinking and strategic foresight as tools for integrating data-driven scenario building into the local policy cycle. She highlighted how approaches such as scanning, sense-making, and scenario building can help LGUs anticipate disruptions, address root causes of complex issues, and design evidence-based strategies that are resilient, inclusive, and future-ready.
The CapDev Expo gathered leaders, policymakers, and practitioners to explore transformative approaches in local governance and service delivery, providing a platform for learning, collaboration, and exchange of innovative practices.
