In Bacolod City, authorities arrested three male suspects, all in their late teens and early twenties, during a buy-bust operation conducted on May 16 in Barangay 24. Recovered during the operation were around one kilogram of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of โฑ6.8 million, along with marked money, mobile phones, and a vehicle allegedly used by the suspects.

The operations were carried out through the combined efforts of PDEA, local police units, and specialized anti-drug and tactical support teams of the PNP.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the operations reflect the continuing commitment of law enforcement agencies to disrupt illegal drug activities while ensuring that all police actions remain within the bounds of the law.
PGEN Nartatez said.
He also commended the operating teams and partner agencies for their coordination and professionalism during the operations.
โThese accomplishments are the result of close cooperation among our law enforcement units and the support of the community. Patuloy nating palalakasin ang police operations na nakatuon sa public safety at kapakanan ng mamamayan,โ he added.
The PNP said the operations form part of the organizationโs intensified anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality efforts aligned with the public safety directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The PNP likewise assured the public that all arrested individuals will undergo proper legal procedures in accordance with existing laws and regulations, consistent with the organizationโs commitment to the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
