In 1994, UNESCO declared the 5th of October as World Teacher’s day, commemorating the adoption of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the status of teachers in 1966.

This applies to all teachers in both public and private schools up until the completion of the secondary stage of education. The recommendation includes the development, rights, and responsibilities of educators.

National Teacher’s Day acknowledges the sacrifices our teachers have made for the sake of quality education for youths. Their service as an educator, our second parents, leads to efficient learning.

“Contrary to popular opinion, leadership is not a reserved position for a particular group of people who were elected or appointed, ordained or enthroned. Leadership is self-made, self-retained, self-inculcated and then exposed through a faithful, sincere and examplary life.”
― Israelmore Ayivor
