Two Robbery Hold-up Suspects Arrested in QCPD Hot Pursuit Operations in Manila

Joint operatives of Pasong Putik Police Station (PS 16) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) arrested two robbery hold-up suspects in a follow-up operation last night in Manila.

PMAJ Elmer Monsalve, C, CIDU identified the suspects as John Michael Pamintuan, 18 years old, a resident of Sulu St., Sta. Cruz, Manila and Herron Lalik, 24 years old, a resident of Legarda St., Sampaloc, Manila.

Report shows that at about 1:00 PM of October 15, 2021, victim Irene Aparri was waiting for a jeepney in front of a gasoline station located along Quirino Highway, Brgy. Kaligayahan, Quezon City when two male suspects suddenly appeared onboard a black Yamaha NMAX. The back rider alighted and at gun point took her bag containing personal belongings and fled to unknown destination.

Aparri immediately reported the incident to CIDU wherein she was able to identify Pamintuan thru the E-Rogues Gallery as one of the suspects who robbed her.

Acting on the information, at about 8:00 PM of October 15, 2021, joint operatives of PS 16 led by PLTCOL Richard Mepania and CIDU led by PLT Apolonio Basit Jr conducted a hot pursuit operation and spotted Pamintuan in his residence at No. 1728, Sulu St., Sta. Cruz, Manila whom, Aparri positively identified him as one of the suspects.

Pamintuan confessed the whereabouts of his cohort Lalik that resulted also in his arrest in his residence at No. 2708 Legarda St., Sampaloc, Manila.

Recovered from his possession were a fan knife, and a black Vivo cellphone owned by the victim. The suspects will be charged for violations of Art 293 of RPC (Robbery Hold-Up) before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

QCPD Director, PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA, commended the operatives for their prompt action that led to the arrest of another robbery hold-up suspects. “Ito ay nagpapatunay lamang na ang ating mga kapulisan ay nakatutok sa kanilang trabaho upang mapanagot ang gumagawa ng krimen at para sa ikakatahimik ng ating Lungsod. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa biktima na hindi nag-atubiling magsumbong dahilan para mahuli ang mga ito.” # # #
