𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑶 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 | Matagumpay na tinalakay ng Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office ang paksa ukol sa Child Safeguarding and Protection Orientation katuwang ang Save the Children Philippines at Social Services Development Department.

Tinalakay sa orientation ang apat na pangunahing haligi ng Children’s Code—protection, survival, participation, at development.

Pinangunahan naman ng SSDD ang talakayan ukol sa Child Safeguarding Policy, kung saan layunin nitong mapalakas ang kaalaman ng mga kawani sa pagprotekta at pagsusulong ng kapakanan ng mga bata, lalo na ng mga batang may kapansanan.

𝑯𝑶𝑳𝑰𝑫𝑨𝒀 𝑨𝑫𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑶𝑹𝒀 | Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264 issued by the Office of the President, declaring the observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) as a Regular Holiday throughout the country, the Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO QC) will be closed tomorrow, May 27, 2026 (Wednesday).

𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑶 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 | Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na adhikain ng lokal na pamahalaan na mapabuti at makapaghatid ng dekalidad na serbisyo para sa ating mga mamamayan, pinangunahan ng Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office ang isinagawang Strategic Planning for Disability-Inclusive Development.

Pinagbuklod ng pagpapatibay ng kooordinasyon at kolaborasyon ang mga mga miyembro ng Technical Working Group (TWG), local stakeholders, partner agencies, mga departamento at tanggapan ng pamahalaan, gayundin ng iba’t ibang organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), upang makabuo ng mas matibay, makatao, at inklusibong direksyon para sa mga polisiya, programa, at serbisyong pangkapansanan sa lungsod sa mga susunod na taon.

Magsisilbing gabay ang mga planong mabubuo mula sa aktibidad tungo sa pagsusulong ng isang mas accessible, inclusive, at disability-responsive na Lungsod Quezon.

𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑶 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 | Pinangunahan ng United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs UN DESA, United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction UNDRR, at UNITAR CIFAL Jeju ang isang Online Workshop on Strengthening Whole-of-Society Capacities for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience: Inclusive Governance and Innovative Mechanisms.

Naging kinatawan ng Lungsod Quezon si Persons with Disability Affairs Office Head Deborah Dacanay, kung saan ibinahagi niya ang matatag na adbokasiya ng lungsod sa pagsusulong ng inklusibo at makataong disaster risk reduction and management upang matiyak na walang maiiwan sa panahon ng sakuna.

Binigyang-diin din ang patuloy na pagpapatupad ng “leaving no one behind,” na nagsisiguro na ang persons with disabilities, kababaihan, kabataan, at iba pang vulnerable sectors ay kasama sa mga programa para sa disaster risk reduction at climate resilience.

Patuloy na pinalalakas ng Lungsod Quezon ang inklusibo at matatag na paghahanda sa sakuna sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalawak ng kaalaman sa Disaster Risk Reduction and Management at pagsuporta sa pagpapatupad ng Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 sa lokal na antas.
