Philippine democracy and development are both at stake in the 2022 elections. The need to provide concrete COVID-19 recovery measures, address the regressing human rights situation and restore the democratic institutions present the urgent and most crucial background to this year’s elections.
IBON International and the Council for People's Development and Governance organised this forum to provide a space for the Filipino people and international stakeholders to discuss pertinent people’s demands. The forum also hopes to forge stronger international partnerships to support people’s struggles for their right to development and people-powered democracy.
