PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Quezon City Government reminds you that according to Republic Act No. 10515 or Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013, unauthorized removal, damage, or theft of cables or cable internet accessories by cable internet accessories providers (cable internet accessories) is prohibited.
Anyone caught doing so may be fined P50,000 to P100,000, and imprisoned for two to five years.
Unauthorized removal, concealment, damage, or theft of cables or power lines is also prohibited under Republic Act No. 7832 or Anti-Electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994.
Anyone caught doing so may be fined P50,000 to P100,000, and imprisoned for twelve to twenty-five years.
A case may still be filed under Article 308 of the Revised Penal Code (Theft) for anyone found to have stolen the aforementioned cables or wires.
