📚SPUQC University Library: Empowering Young Paulinians through the Library Instruction Program📚

From September 22 to October 10, 2025, the St. Paul University Quezon City (SPUQC) University Library successfully conducted its annual Library Instruction Program for the Basic Education Department.

The program aimed to equip students with essential library and research skills, guiding them in navigating both physical and digital learning resources. Activities included:

📖 Storytelling sessions from Pre-School to Grade 3 learners to spark imagination and develop a love for reading;
🏫 Library orientation to familiarize students with library services, facilities, and borrowing procedures; and
💻 Demonstration teaching for Grades 10–12 on how to effectively access and use SPUQC’s online database subscriptions such as EBSCO, Phil E-Journal, and Britannica Education—empowering students to conduct reliable research and become responsible digital learners.

Through this initiative, the University Library continues its mission of fostering information literacy, academic excellence, and a lifelong love for learning among the Paulinian community. 💚💛

📕Exciting News from MIBF 2025! 📙

From September 10-14, 2025, the SPUQC University Library - together with the Sisters of SPUQC, the Dean, Program Chairs, Faculty members, librarians, and staff - took part in the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The team carefully selected new titles to enrich our collection and further support our academic programs.

📚 PACUCOA Level III Reaccreditation Visit | SPUQC University Library
🗓️ July 29–30, 2025

St. Paul University Quezon City successfully hosted the PACUCOA Level III Reaccreditation Visit on July 29–30, 2025—a significant step in our ongoing pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance.

As part of the accreditation process, we were privileged to welcome Ms. May Corong, University Librarian of the University of Batangas, who served as one of the distinguished accreditors. Ms. Corong conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the SPUQC University Library, assessing our collections, services, facilities, and strategic initiatives that support teaching, learning, and research.

We are deeply grateful for her valuable insights and commend the collaborative efforts of the Library staff in showcasing our commitment to providing an enriching academic environment.

For students, please be informed that starting today, April 22, 2025, book borrowing is no longer allowed. All borrowed books must be returned for clearance purposes.

For faculty members, please note that book borrowing is also suspended effective today, April 22, 2025. Kindly return all borrowed books on or before May 15, 2025.
