Philippine Orthopedic Center The Philippine Orthopedic Center is a government medical facility under the Department of Health which is tasked to provide health care delivery to patients with musculoskeletal disorder and related conditions.

The Philippine Orthopedic Center joins in the celebration to the 2025 Philippine Antimicrobial Awareness Week (PAAW)

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is when microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites evolve to resist the drugs designed to kill them, making infections harder to treat.

This occurs naturally over time or through factors like the overuse and misuse of antimicrobials, and it has become a major global health problem that increases the risk of disease spread, severe illness, and death.

Thus, by using media such as television for infomercial helps people to understand what AMR is and why it is critical global health concern.

It also aids in recognizing the main causes and contributing factors to the rise of AMR, and encouraging responsible actions by healthcare workers and the community in slowing the spread of resistance.

Clubfoot, or congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV), is a birth defect where a baby’s foot or feet appear rotated internally at the ankle. This condition can affect one or both feet and needs treatment to ensure the child can walk properly later in life.

In line with our commitment to promoting health awareness and wellness among employees and patient, we would like to formally express our intention to hold Diabetes Week on November 10-14, 2025 at Philippine Orthopedic Lobby with the theme “Diabetes and the Workplace”.

This initiative aims to:

· Raise awareness about the prevention, early detection, and management of diabetes.

· Provide education and resources to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.

· Engage participants through interactive activities such as lectures, screenings, and wellness programs.

We believe that this activity will greatly contribute to fostering a healthier community and empowering individuals with knowledge on how to prevent and manage diabetes effectively.
