Noong Mayo 30, 2026, nagsagawa ang CHR-NCR, sa pangunguna at suporta ng Tanggapan ni Councilor Shannin Mae Olivarez, ng lecture para sa mga opisyal at kinatawan ng mga barangay sa Baclaran, ParaĂąaque City tungkol sa mga batayang karapatan at mandato ng Commission on Human Rights. Layunin ng aktibidad na palawakin ang kaalaman at kamalayan sa karapatang pantao bilang pundasyon ng isang makatarungan at mapayapang komunidad.
Ang kaalaman sa karapatang pantao ay daan tungo sa mas responsableng paglilingkod at mas makataong lipunan. Sa huli, ang isang komunidad na may kaalaman sa karapatang pantao ay isang komunidad na mas makatarungan, mapayapa, at may malasakit sa kapwa.

Sa patuloy na pagtataguyod ng karapatang pantao at pagpapahalaga sa dignidad ng bawat tao, nagsagawa ang Commission on Human Rights-National Capital Region (CHR-NCR), sa pamamagitan ng Promotion and Advocacy Division, ng seminar sa Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory ukol sa HR 101, Mandato ng CHR, Safe Spaces Act, at Anti-Cyberbullying, noong May 28, 2026.
Layunin ng aktibidad na palawakin ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga tauhan ng BJMP sa pagprotekta at pagtataguyod ng karapatan ng mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), pagsusulong ng pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian, at pagpapanatili ng ligtas at magalang na kapaligiran sa loob at labas ng kulungan.
Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na edukasyon at kamalayan sa karapatang pantao, higit na napagtitibay ang makatao, makatarungan, at may dignidad na paglilingkod para sa lahat.

On May 26, 2026, the CHR-NCR Regional Director and Legal Unit, in coordination with the Linkages OfficeâCampaigns and Advocacy Division, conducted an engagement with Manila City Vice Mayor Angela Lei âChiâ Atienza regarding the proposed establishment of a Human Rights Action Center (HRAC) in the city.
The discussion highlighted the HRACâs role as an institutional mechanism for strengthening human rights protection and enhancing coordination among local stakeholders. The engagement also provided an opportunity to explore potential partnership and collaboration with the city government.

Nagsagawa ang CHR-NCR, kasama ang Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare CommitteeâNCR (RJJWC-NCR), ng monitoring visits sa Pasay Bahay Pag-asa (BPA) at Pasay City Jail noong Mayo 28, 2026.
Layunin ng mga monitoring activity na ito na suriin ang kalagayan, mga programa, at serbisyong ibinibigay sa mga batang may kaso sa batas at mga persons deprived of liberty, habang tinitiyak na napapangalagaan ang kanilang mga karapatan at kapakanan sa pamamagitan ng makatao at rights-based na pamamaraan.

CHR-NCR Regional Director and NCR Legal Unit, met with Mayor Carmelita "Menchie" Aguilar Abalos to discuss the proposed establishment of Human Rights Action Center (HRAC) in Mandaluyong City on May 11, 2026.
During the engagement, the NCR Regional Director commended the City Governmentâs continuing efforts to advance and uphold human rights through responsive local ordinances and people-centered initiatives. The meeting also highlighted the important role of HRAC as accessible community-based mechanisms that promote the protection of human rights, strengthen collaboration among local stakeholders, and improve coordination in addressing human rights concerns at the grassroots

The Commission on Human Rights â NCR, through its Promotion and Advocacy Division, together with the Eulogio âAmangâ Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST), a CHR-NCR Center for Human Rights Education (CHRE) partner, successfully conducted a training-workshop for NSTP volunteer students of EARIST and selected barangay representatives from Manila on 17 May 2026.
The activity aimed to strengthen the participantsâ understanding of basic human rights concepts and principles, the mandates of the Commission on Human Rights, and the importance of a human rights-based approach to governance and community service.
Interactive workshops and an open forum were likewise conducted to encourage active participation, meaningful discussions, and a deeper appreciation of the role of young volunteers and community leaders in promoting and protecting human rights within their respective communities.
The activity concluded as another meaningful and empowering engagement, reaffirming the importance of collective action, civic participation, and continued human rights education in building safer, more inclusive, and rights-based communities.
