How to secure FB for possible hack in the future:

1. Check active logins

a. Open Facebook.
b. Tap Menu (three lines).
c. Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
d. Tap Password and Security.
e. Open Where you're logged in.

You will see a list of devices, locations, and browsers currently using your account.

2. Log out suspicious devices

a. Find the device or location you do not recognize.
b. Tap the three dots beside it.
c. Select Log Out.

If there are several suspicious entries, choose Log out of all sessions.

3. Change your password immediately

a. After removing the session:
b. Stay in Password and Security.
c. Tap Change Password.
d. Create a new strong password that you have never used before.

Tip: Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.

4. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication

a. This prevents someone from logging in even if they know your password.
b. Go to Password and Security.
c. Tap Two-Factor Authentication.

Choose: Authentication app (most secure), or SMS verification.

5. Check for other signs of compromise

Look at:

a. Recent emails from Facebook about logins
b. Recent posts or messages you did not send
c. Apps and websites connected to your account
d. Remove anything suspicious.

6. Run Facebook’s Security Checkup
Facebook has a built-in tool that guides you through all security steps.

Go to Settings → Password and Security
Tap Security Checkup

It will review logins, passwords, and recovery settings.

7. Secure your email too
If someone accessed your Facebook, they may also try to access your email. Change that password and enable two-factor authentication as well.
