Building the next generation of Islamic finance leaders. 🌙📚

Al-Amanah Islamic Bank and the University of the Philippines are exploring a partnership to develop executive courses and certification programs in Islamic finance, banking, and investment.

The initiative was discussed during Al-Amanah’s meeting with UP President Angelo Jimenez, opening opportunities to strengthen professional expertise and expand the country’s talent pool for the growing Islamic finance sector.

Advancing halal growth through stronger financing and business support! 🌙✨

The Department of Trade and Industry, led by Secretary Cristina A. Roque, met with Al-Amanah Islamic Bank to unlock new avenues of growth for local entrepreneurs and the expanding halal sector.

Both sides agreed to move toward the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, with Al-Amanah set to provide financing support for halal expansion, including accreditation fees and halal slaughterhouse facilities. DTI will also open opportunities for Al-Amanah to take part in seminars for new businesses.

This is a step toward making halal growth more accessible, bankable, and sustainable.

On September 14, 2026, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao will hold its first-ever parliamentary elections. For the first time, power shifts directly to the people to choose the 80 leaders who will shape the future of self-governance, peace, and progress in the region.

From these representatives, a Chief Minister will be elected to serve as the head of the BARMM government.
