BENEFITS
Maximizes contact between the
connector and conductor surfaces
Overcomes the problems associated with
oxidation of metallic surfaces
Provides a simple, fool proof method for
connector installation
FEATURES
Installing taps takes a fraction of the
time needed for conventional crimp-type
connectors
A locking tab prevents wedge from
loosening once it has been driven into
position. Every connection may be
visually inspected by checking wedge
movement and locking tab.
Taps may be used to connect multiple
conductor combinations
No damage to the conductors when
installing or removing tap
Lightweight, power-actuated tools
require minimum operator effort
“C” and wedge are factory coated with
an inhibitor containing abrasive particles
to help clean the contact surfaces during
installation
APPLICATIONS
Used to connect solid and stranded
aluminum, aluminum alloy and stranded
aluminum composite conductors
including AAC, AAAC, ACSR, ACAR, AW,
ACSR/AW, and ACSS.
They may also be used in non-corrosive
environments to connect copper
conductors.

APKT
Heat-shrinkable termination system for cables up to 36 kV
General Description:
Over the last three decades, engineers in utilities and industry around the world have
specified million’s of Raychem cable terminations at distribution voltages up to
36 kV. Raychem terminations have become identified with reliability because of their
unparalleled longterm performance – where it really counts – in the field. Today there
are many changes influencing the distribution of power at medium voltages.
Features & Benefits:
• All applications for polymeric and MIND paper on 1core, 3core, armoured and
unarmoured cables
• Red nontracking Raychem HVOT tubing provides excellent environmental protection
• Can be used in combination with Raychem RICS / RCAB / RSRB terminations
• Enhanced rangetaking ability means that one kit fits more conductor sizes, reducing
stocking requirements
• Unlimited shelf life allows stocking of economic quantities without product spoilage
Simplifield cable
• Components are lightweight and nonshattering
• Clear instruction sheets
• Fully sealed against water ingress from the environment or from within the conductor
strands
• Compatible with all state of the art screen removal techniques
• No tapering of insulation required
• No polishing of polymeric insulation surface
• Factory engineered kit permits rapid onsite installation
• No mechanical stress at insulation screen cutback
• Termination accommodates same bending radius as cable
• Visual confirmation of correct assembly sequence possible after installation
• Rain skirts can be installed to allow either top or bottom feed
• No soldering of earthing accessories required
• Unsurpassed performance in polluted environments, proven over three decades.

TE Connectivity’s (TE) Raychem Screened separable T-connectors RSTI-68 are designed to connect single and three-core polymeric cables to medium voltage gas insulated switchgear and other equipment using bushings type “C” (EN50180/EN50181) specifi ed for 630/1250A up to 42 kV.
Made of a highly modifi ed silicone rubber and protected by a thin-walled, grounded outer conductive screen, TE’s Raychem RSTI-68 connectors are equally suited for indoor and outdoor installation. Supporting a wide application range, the design incorporates one body and two stress cone adapters to cover any cross-sections from 25 mm2 to 300 mm2. The overall and cut-back dimensions are designed to take up minimum space in the terminal box.
TE’s Raychem RSTI-68 connectors are equipped with a capacitive test point for determining whether the circuit is energized. This test point is protected by a conductive cap. After cable preparation and lubrication, the stress control adapter is simply slid into place, followed by the screened connector body. These two components can be installed under virtually any conditions. A separable mounting system ensures easy installation of the connector onto the bushing.
Our kits include high-performance multi-range mechanical or DIN compression lugs matching the design of TE’s Raychem RSTI-68 connector.
KEY FEATURES:
• Screened connector does not need to be removed for over sheath testing
• Wide application range covers cable cross sections from 25 mm2 to 300 mm2
• Easy access rear plug with capacitive test point
• Insulation made of highly modified silicone rubber
• Compact design supports use of double “T” connections inside standard terminal boxes
• Unlimited shelf-life.

TE Connectivity’s (TE) Kries IKI-Overhead fault current indicators IKI-OH are designed for overhead distribution lines from 1 to 36 kV, and from #4 - 1000 kcmil cable sizes. They are engineered to monitor fault conditions such as short circuits, temporary
disruptions, and ground faults on overhead lines, helping grid operators quickly restore power after unplanned outages.
Our Kries IKI-OH indicates a fault condition locally with integrated LEDs wherein the combination of IKI-Overhead-Radio and Butler allows remote reporting to a distribution control center, enabling grid transparency and reducing SAIDI.
Our Kries IKI-OH portfolio is tested to IEEE-495 standards and meets operating temperatures from -30°C to 75°C (-22°F to 167°F).
Our Kries IKI-OH can be installed without de-energizing the circuit to be monitored. With no special tools required, IKI-OH devices can be quickly and easily installed, while keeping the power on. Vegetation clashing against power lines or fallen poles can be
detected by IKI-OH, helping our customers prevent wildfires or unsafe conditions for local population.
KEY FEATURES
• High impedance fault detection
• Field configurable
• Multiple reset options - By time, by re-energization, or by reset magnet
• Multiple fault detection
• Low battery warning (Butler and Radio)
