Filipino student Dion Stephan Ong graduated summa cm laude from Yale University after earning a perfect 4.00 GPA, marking a proud achievement for Filipino academic excellence on the global stage.

Ong completed combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science, showing exceptional discipline, consistency, and intellectual excellence in one of the world’s most prestigious universities.

Makakatanggap ng isang beses na P25,000 ayuda ang mga kwalipikadong nursing at allied health students para makatulong sa gastusin sa kanilang mandatory hospital at community training sa ilalim ng AHEAD Grant simula sa Academic Year 2026–2027.

Sinabi ni Senador Bam Aquino na isinulong ang programa matapos ilahad ng mga estudyante ang mabigat na gastos sa Related Learning Experience (RLE), habang layunin naman ng Commission on Higher Education na mabawasan ang bilang ng mga napipilitang huminto sa pag-aaral dahil sa mga gastusing ito.

A new lesson will soon be introduced in schools to help students better understand a key national issue.

DEPED TO TEACH WEST PHILIPPINE SEA LESSONS STARTING SCHOOL YEAR 2026

The Department of Education will begin including lessons on the West Philippine Sea in select grade levels starting School Year 2026. The initiative aims to deepen students’ understanding of sovereignty, territorial rights, and national interests.

According to DepEd, the move is intended to strengthen awareness of issues related to the West Philippine Sea among Filipino learners.
