Pistang ANI ng Bayan at Quezon City University!

Tunghayan ang muling pagbubukas ng Pistang Ani ng Bayan!

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), in partnership with the Quezon City University (QCU), invites urban and peri-urban agriculture enthusiasts in the National Capital Region to join the Pistang Ani ng Bayan on June 28-30, 2025.

The much-awaited celebration of urban and peri-urban (UPA) technologies, livelihood, and advocacy for safe, nutritious, and affordable food in the metro is a testament of commitment to strengthen the National Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP) of the Department of Agriculture.

The Harvest Festival and Field Day will once again open its doors to learning and collaboration, filled with inspiration, fun, and excitement towards the advancement of UPA.

Ipinakita ng Quezon City Government ang best practices ng lungsod sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan, sa mga kinatawan ng iba-ibang bansa na bahagi ng C40 Cities Southeast Asia Regional Academy.

Pumunta ang mga delegado sa Barangay Talipapa para sa kanilang May Buhay sa Basura Project; Quezon City University para sa kanilang Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation; Goal: Zero Waste Management Program ng Megaworld Corporation sa Eastwood City; at sa UP AyalaLand Technohub para sa kanilang Reforestation Through Afforestation Program.

Ang site visit ay bahagi ng C40 Cities Regional Academy na nagbibigay-daan para sa mga lokal na pamahalaan na matutunan ang mga paraan ng iba-ibang siyudad sa mundo upang matiyak na epektibo, inklusibo, at makatao ang mga programa na tutugon sa panganib na dulot ng pabago-bagong klima.

March 1, 2024 - Inauguration of the Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation

Pinangunahan ng punong lungsod na si Mayor Joy Belmonte at Quezon City University President Dr. Theresita Atienza ang pagbubukas at blessing ng Demo Farm ng Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation na pinunduhan ng Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Training Institute. Ang nasabing programa ay dinaluhan din ng Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), BFAR-NCR, at SEED Philippines na katuwang sa pagpapalaganap ng Urban Agriculture sa Quezon City.

Ang demo farm ay mayroong mga high value crops tulad ng chinese kale, arugula, lettuce, parsley, brazilian spinach at mga herbs. Meron ding hito sa mga concrete pond.

One Again Blessed Holidays mga ka-Urban 🎄🌱

November 17, 2023 - Bumisita sa Quezon City University - Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation (QCU-CUAI) para sa kanilang lakbay-aral sa Quezon City University - San Bartolome Campus bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng buwan ng mga bata ng Quezon City 2023.

Bilang bahagi ng pagpapakilala sa Sustainable Urban Agriculture Practices and Activities ng unibersidad, nagtungo rin sila sa QCU-Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation. Ang mga bata ay binigyan ng praktikal na instruksyon sa mga detalye ng paggawa ng potting mix bilang bahagi ng kanilang pagsasanay sa mga pamamaraan ng urban farming sa pangunguna ng mga out-of-school youth group na SAGIP OSY na sinanay rin ng QCU-CUAI upang magbahagi ng kaalaman sa agrikultura.

Ang aktibidad na ito ay ginawa upang itaas ang kaalaman ng mga kabataan sa kahalagahan ng agrikultura at himukin sila na pag-unlad nito. Ang agrikultura ay isa sa mahalagang sektor ng ekonomiya na dapat ipagpatuloy ng susunod na henerasyon.

Ang Quezon City University (QCU), sa pakikipagtulungan sa QC Public Employment Service Office (PESO), ang nag-organisa ng "Lakbay Aral ng mga Batang Malaya" noong Nobyembre 17, 2023, sa QCU San Bartolome Campus, na may temang “Discovering Bright Horizons: A Journey of Hope.” Animnapung (60) batang taga-QC ang unang nakaranas sa mga reyalidad ng trabaho.

Ayon kay Dr. Theresita V. Atienza na presidente ng QCU sa kanyang pambungad na pahayag sa pasimula ng programa, ang mga kabataang nagsimulang magtrabaho nang maaga ay maaaring gamitin ang kanilang mga karanasan bilang "pasimula" patungo sa mas magandang kinabukasan. Hinihimok ni Dr. Atienza ang mga ito, "Huwag kang susuko sa pagsusumikap na tapusin ang iyong pag-aaral."

The seminar on Basic Graphic Designing and Photoshop, held at the Quezon City University's Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation on November 15, 2023, was a resounding success. The collaboration between Quezon City University Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation and Aspiring Youth Enrichment Society brought together a diverse group of participants, including SAGIP OSY , Aspiring Youth Enrichment and Society (AYES), Government Internship Program (GIP), Greentech Innovation and Association, and the Special Program for Employment in Students (SPES).

Mr. Paul Anthony Salcedo, an accomplished graphic artist and web designer with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Caloocan City, served as the keynote speaker. His wealth of knowledge and practical insights into graphic designing and Photoshop provided valuable learning experiences for all attendees.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the Emcee, Wilhemenia Calip from GreenScape Production and Secretary of GreenTech Innovations Association , who skillfully guided the audience through the program. The seminar opened with a heartfelt prayer led by Jayson Romaraog from GreenScape Production (Voice Over) and Treasurer of GreenTech Innovations Association, setting a positive and focused tone for the day. Arcel R. Balanon from Aspiring Youth for Enrichment Society President and Head of GreenScape Production, in the opening segment, provided context for the significance of the seminar in the context of the Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation's mission.

Adding a creative flair to the event, the Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation Creative Dancers, featuring Wilhemenia Calip from Greentech Innovation Association, Marc Andrei Perez from SAGIP OSY, and Christian Ambos from Aspiring Youth Enrichment Society, showcased a vibrant performance, infusing energy into the seminar.

Yam Benedict Nebrida concluded the seminar with a closing remark, expressing gratitude to the participants, organizers, and the speaker, and encouraging continued engagement in the field of graphic design.

The seminar covered fundamental aspects of graphic design, exploring key concepts and practical applications in Photoshop. Mr. Salcedo's engaging presentation style captivated the audience, fostering a dynamic learning environment. Participants had the opportunity to interact, ask questions, and gain hands-on experience, enhancing their understanding of graphic design principles.

The event facilitated networking among diverse groups, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. The active participation of SAGIP OSY, Aspiring Youth Enrichment Society, GIP, GreenTech Innovation and Association, and the Special Program for Employment in Students contributed to the seminar's success.
