The celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act held on May 20, 2026 at the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY), Tantangan, South Cotabato, became a meaningful gathering of advocates, partners, and stakeholders committed to protecting the rights and future of every child. 💙
Joined by RTC Judges, Committee Members, RRCY personnel, and led by SWO IV / Center Head Ms. Norhata Benito, RSW, together we continue to strengthen a justice system that upholds compassion, rehabilitation, and hope for Children in Conflict with the Law.
In line with this year’s theme, “Katarungan, Kalinga at Pag-asa,” DSWD Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya shared a heartwarming message:
“Kami sa DSWD, nananatili kaming matatag sa aming mandato na protektahan ang karapatan ng mga bata at tiyakin na walang mga batang maiiwan at mapapabayaan, upang mabigyan sila ng pagkakataong maituwid ang kanilang landas.”
Indeed, every child deserves not only justice, but also guidance, care, and a second chance toward a brighter future. 🌱✨
