The RP-US Security Assistance Financial Management Review (SAFMR) is an annual bilateral engagement that evaluates the status and progress of acquisition projects of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), funded through both Republic Funds and the United States Foreign Military Financing (FMS) Program.
This year, the Philippines proudly hosted the event from 21 to 24 July 2025 at The Forest Lodge, Camp John Hay, Baguio City, with BGEN LEO EDWARD Y CARANTO PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4, leading the Philippine delegation.

In his heartfelt closing message, BGEN CARANTO emphasized the value of partnership and unity:
"Your efforts have made this review not just a formal exercise but a meaningful step forward in our partnership. May your journeys be safe and your work ahead be successful. Let us continue to work hand-in-hand, united in purpose and driven by our shared commitment to a brighter, more secure future for both our nations."
As the RP-US alliance continues to evolve, this yearโs SAFMR stands as a testament to our joint dedication to mutual defense goals and long-term regional security.
