The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), in collaboration with the Quezon City Fire District (QCFD), successfully conducted its “Annual Emergency and Fire Lecture and Drill” last April 10, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CTA Building II.
The activity provided an opportunity for CTA personnel to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in emergency response, while supporting the continued development of the newly reconstituted CTA Emergency and Fire Rescue Brigade.
This initiative reflects the Court’s ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and responsibility in the workplace.

As part of the 2026 Women’s Month Celebration, Ms. Tonette Asprer—a Sound Healer, Sound Healing Teacher Trainer, Reiki Master-Teacher, Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and professional Food Stylist—facilitated the workshop titled “Unwind & Uplift: A Women’s Month Yoga Gathering”. The event was held on March 27, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, 5th Floor, Court of Tax Appeals Building.
The session highlighted the importance of nurturing harmony between mind and body through gentle yoga postures, mindful breathing techniques, and meditation. Associate Justice Maria Rowena Modesto-San Pedro, alongside court employees, actively participated in the guided exercises. These movements were specifically designed to enhance physical vitality and mental well-being, ultimately fostering a sense of relaxation and inner balance.

On March 23, 2026, Presiding Justice Ma. Belen M. Ringpis-Liban led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bagongbuhay Group of Artists (BAGA) and Likha ng Rehas of Correctional Institution Exhibit–Sale for a Cause. The Presiding Justice was joined by Associate Justices Jean Marie A. Bacorro-Villena, Maria Rowena Modesto-San Pedro, Marian Ivy F. Reyes-Fajardo and Lanee S. Cui-David.
The Bagongbuhay Group of Artists (BAGA) is a Philippine art collective primarily composed of former Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), dedicated to rehabilitation and social reintegration through the visual arts. “Likha ng Rehas” is an art club and rehabilitation program within the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW), composed of PDL artists and facilitated by the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor). The program promotes creativity, self-expression, and rehabilitation through workshops, while also supporting students at the Medium Security Camp of the New Bilibid Prison through art instruction and educational materials.
Artworks by BAGA and Likha ng Rehas of Correctional Institution members are on display at the 2nd and 3rd floor bridgeway of the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) from March 23 to 31, 2026. Interested patrons and guests may visit the CTA during office hours to view and purchase the artworks.

In celebration of National Women’s Month with the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the CTA GFPS launched a series of activities this March 2026.
The first seminar, titled “Trailblaze-hers: Women Shaping the Future,” was held on March 13, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CTA Building II, and featured Ms. Menchie Silvestre, Executive Director of TV5 Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., as the guest speaker. During the talk, Ms. Silvestre spoke about the value of women’s leadership, resilience, and empowerment in helping create stronger and more inclusive communities. She encouraged participants to believe in their abilities, rise above challenges, and take an active role in leading and making a positive impact in their respective fields

The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) joins the nation in celebrating the 2026 National Women’s Month, with the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”. The month-long program of activities was officially launched during the flag ceremony on March 2, 2026, in support of women’s empowerment and gender equality.
The kick-off program featured a dance exercise participated in by court personnel and a surprise birthday celebration in honor of Presiding Justice Ma. Belen M. Ringpis-Liban, adding a meaningful and festive note to the event.

In celebration of the “One Billion Rising 2026” campaign, the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) hosted a painting session entitled “Hue Got This! A Safer Space through Art” on February 27, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of CTA Building II. The activity provided CTA employees with an opportunity to express creativity while promoting a safe and inclusive workplace.
The session featured a variety of engaging art activities, facilitated by Mr. Christopher R. Cauilan, Computer Maintenance Technologist II, encouraging active participation and camaraderie among employees.
