BFP CHAPLAIN SERVICE PARTICIPATES IN THE 2026 MOP ECCLESIAL ASSEMBLY

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Chaplain Service, under the leadership of FSSUPT GIL ROCHAR P DULAY, DSC, JD, participated in the 2026 Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP) Ecclesial Assembly held at the OCC, PA Basement Hall, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Representing the BFP Chaplain Service were FCINSP JECKER R LUEGO, Deputy Chief, Chaplain, FCINSP FERLYN MARIE T CABRAL, President of the Saint Florian Ministry, FSINSP ANA LUZ N GAGARIN, and SFO4 Cristy P Gandolpos. Also present was Engr. Igmedio Cabral Jr., husband of FCINSP CABRAL, whose presence highlighted the importance of family support and fellowship in ministry.

The assembly was graced by MOST REV OSCAR JAIME L FLORENCIO, D.D., SThD, providing a meaningful opportunity for spiritual enrichment, communion, and the deepening of faith among members of the military and uniformed services.

The participation of the BFP Chaplain Service reaffirms its unwavering commitment to spiritual formation, the promotion of Christian values, and the strengthening of unity among personnel and their families. Through gatherings such as this, the Service continues to foster a community rooted in faith, compassion, and dedication to God and country.

Today’s Holy Mass was presided over by REV FR (FCINSP) JECKER R LUEGO, Deputy Chief Chaplain/Chief, Spiritual Ministry and Program Section.

On today's Gospel (Luke 11:5-13) Jesus teaches that "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

This verse highlights God's willingness to respond to those who persistently seek Him, regardless of the circumstances. It encourages believers to remain steadfast in their prayers, trusting that God is attentive and ready to provide what is needed.

The Chaplain Service, BFP-NHQ held a coordination meeting with The Master’s Theological Seminary International (TMTSI) to explore possible complementary initiatives focused on personnel well-being, resilience, values formation, and holistic development.

The engagement reflects the BFP’s continuing commitment to strengthening support systems for its personnel while fostering partnerships that promote resilience, ethical service, and a culture of care among those who serve and protect the public.

As we celebrate the Month of the Holy Rosary, personnel from the Chaplain Service, Health Service, Fire Laboratory Service, Public Information Service, and Headquarters Support Service came together for a Block Rosary.

Beyond their different roles and responsibilities, they remain united by one faith and one mission—to serve with compassion, courage, and humility.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may our prayers bring strength to our personnel, protection to our families, and guidance as we continue to serve and protect our communities.

Today’s Holy Mass was presided over by REV FR (FSINSP) EDWIN A MACANAS, Chief, Pastoral and Outreach Section.

On today's Gospel (Luke 1:26–38) Mary’s response, "Let it be done to me according to your word,” reminds us of the beauty of trusting God’s plan even when we do not fully understand it. Like Mary, may we have the courage to say “yes” to God and faithfully embrace His call.
