The Office of the Judge Advocate General, AFP and the Judge Advocate Generalโ€™s Service Reserve, AFPRESCOM marked a historic milestone by hosting a joint Year End Strategic Assessment on 17 December 2025, at the AFP Commissioned Officersโ€™ Clubhouse Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. This event represented the first time that both active-duty personnel and the reserve force gathered together to celebrate the holiday season as a unified body. The gathering served not only as a festive conclusion to the year but also as a significant gesture of camaraderie and professional solidarity within the organization.

Embracing the spirit of Filipino heritage, the festivities were centered around the theme "Barrio Fiesta." Attendees arrived in traditional attire, transforming the venue into a vibrant display of national pride. The program featured various performances that showcased the richness of Filipino culture and tradition, reflecting the shared values and identity that bind the active and reserve components together through community and service.

A pivotal highlight of the evening was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between BGEN ERWIN VA MACHICA III JAGS, The Judge Advocate General, AFP, and BGEN PETER C SUCHIANCO, Chief, JAGS Reserve. This strategic agreement officially signifies the unification of the two offices, streamlining their partnership and reinforcing their shared mission objectives. The signing ceremony underscored a commitment to closer coordination, effectively bridging the gap between full-time military service and the reserve corps.

The joint celebration concludes a year of transformation and collaborative growth for the services involved. By blending cultural celebration with official administrative milestones, the event established a new precedent for future engagements between active and reserve personnel. The "Barrio Fiesta" gathering stands as a testament to the strengthening ties within the military, setting a cohesive tone for the operations of both offices in the coming year.
