The Municipal Project Management Office (MPMO) of Calatrava, together with Municipal Mayor Engr. Rober M. Fabella, conducted a courtesy call to formally welcome the newly hired PMNP staff:

The Nutrition Officer II from RPMO-MIMAROPA was endorsed and deployed to LGU Calatrava to oversee field implementation and provide additional manpower in strengthening PMNP-related activities. Meanwhile, Ms. Cheryl Flaviano was introduced as the new Technical Manager, ensuring effective organization and efficient implementation within the MPMO Team.

This initiative highlights the LGU Calatrava’s commitment, under the leadership of Mayor Fabella, to advancing PMNP programs and strengthening service delivery for the community.

The PMNP MIMAROPA Regional Project Management Office conducted the Regional Technical Session on Local Nutrition Action Plan (LNAP) 2026–2028 Retargeting and PPAs Enhancement Workshop from May 4–8, 2026 in Metro Manila. The activity gathered PMNP Municipal Project Management Offices (MPMOs), municipal implementers, and regional partners to strengthen the implementation readiness of Local Nutrition Action Plans (LNAPs) in preparation for the implementation of Performance-Based Grant (PBG) Tranches 2 and 3.

The workshop focused on refining priority nutrition outcomes and targets, enhancing the design and feasibility of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), and strengthening results-based planning and monitoring aligned with the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023–2028 and PMNP objectives. Participants also worked on improving geographic and population targeting, integrating Social and Behavior Change (SBC) strategies into priority interventions, and enhancing implementation and monitoring frameworks.

The activity highlighted the importance of multisectoral coordination, evidence-based planning, and strengthened local nutrition governance in improving nutrition outcomes across PMNP target sites in MIMAROPA.

Ngayong 2026 Safe Motherhood Week na may temang, “Kalidad na Pangangalaga sa Ina, Kalusugan ng Sanggol ay may Garantiya,” muling binibigyang-halaga ang kaligtasan at kalusugan ng bawat ina at sanggol.

Binibigyang-diin ng pagdiriwang na ito ang kahalagahan ng sapat at dekalidad na pangangalaga sa mga ina at sanggol—mula pagbubuntis, panganganak, hanggang sa panahon pagkatapos manganak. Kasama rito ang pagsusulong ng maagang pagpapakonsulta, wastong nutrisyon, ligtas na panganganak, at tuloy-tuloy na pangangalaga upang mapanatiling malusog ang mag-ina.

Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagsusulong ng wastong pangangalaga at nutrisyon, mas napapalakas ang pundasyon ng isang ligtas at malusog na simula para sa bawat mag-ina. 🌸
