Pinangunahan ni VMLP National President Maynard Francis Bumanglag ng Pinili, Ilocos Norte ang panawagan na pagtibayin ang pagkakaisa ng mga bise alkalde sa buong bansa—lampas sa kulay ng politika—para mas mapabilis at mapabuti ang paggawa ng mga batas na direktang makakatulong sa mamamayan.

Kasabay nito, isinusulong din ng Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines ang mga makabagong hakbang tulad ng digital na sistema para sa mga ordinansa (E-Legis) at mga maikling pagsasanay katuwang ang University of the Philippines. Layunin nitong gawing mas mabilis ang pagresponde ng mga lokal na pamahalaan sa mga isyu tulad ng pagtaas ng presyo ng langis at pamasahe.

Sa pakikipagtulungan sa Department of Information and Communications Technology at PLDT, patuloy ang hakbang tungo sa mas digital at mas episyenteng pamamahala.

Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang panunumpa sa tungkulin ng mga National Executive Officers, National Board Officers at Regional Presidents ng Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP).

Ang mga opisyal ay nahalal noong November 26, 2025, at ngayon ay nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na manumpa sa harap ng Pangulo bilang bahagi ng kanilang opisyal na panunungkulan.

Sa kanyang mensahe, hinikayat ng Pangulo ang mga lokal na opisyal na mas paigtingin ang paggamit ng digital systems sa pamahalaan. Ayon sa kanya, mas nagiging maayos ang pagbabantay sa pondo at mas ligtas ang mga transaksyon kapag ito ay digital.

Pinamumunuan ng VMLP sina Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag (Pinili, Ilocos Norte) at Anthony DLS Suva (Mandaluyong City), na nagbahagi rin sa Pangulo ng kanilang inisyatiba sa digitalization sa pamamagitan ng E-Legis Program.

Matapos ang oath-taking, agad na nagsagawa ng Special Executive Board Meeting ang mga opisyal sa Century Park Hotel Manila upang talakayin ang mahalagang papel ng mga Bise Alkalde sa kasalukuyang oil crisis.

Nagkaisa ang mga Local Councils ng munisipyo at siyudad ng CARAGA Region sa CLC Caraga Legislative Congress 2026, pinangunahan ng ating mga Vice Mayors sa makabuluhang talakayan, pagbabahagi ng best practices, at pagpapalakas ng lehislatibong pamamahala sa rehiyon.

Opisyal nang binuksan ang Agro Trade Fair 2026 sa Buenavista, Guimaras bilang bahagi ng 19th Palayag Festival. Panauhing pandangal ng ribbon-cutting ceremony si VMLP National President Vice Mayor Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag ng Pinili, Ilocos Norte, sa paanyaya ni VMLP Provincial President, VM Cyril C. Beltran.

Nagpahayag si VMLP National President Maynard ng kanyang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa VMLP Guimaras Chapter at sa LGU Buenavista sa pangunguna sa mainit na pagtanggap. Binati rin niya ang buong komunidad at lahat ng namumuno sa isang matagumpay na kaganapan sa pangunguna ni Mayor Nonoy Gumarin na nagpapakita ng talento, dedikasyon, at pagmamahal sa lokal na agrikultura at produkto.

Mula sariwang ani hanggang sa natatanging lokal na produkto, ramdam ang sigla at pagkakaisa ng komunidad sa selebrasyon ng sustenableng pagsasaka, entrepreneurship, at kultura ng LGU Buenavista sa Probinsya ng Guimaras.

The Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) Region 7 – Central Visayas has elected its new set of officers for the 2025–2028 term. This milestone event marks a renewed commitment of the League to strengthen local legislative work and deepen collaboration among Vice Mayors in the region.

Leading the celebration was Hon. Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag, VMLP Interim National President and Vice Mayor of Pinili, Ilocos Norte, whose presence underscored the vital role of the national leadership in guiding and supporting regional chapters. As Vice Chairperson of the VMLP Committee on Elections (COMELEC), he lauded the Region 7 Vice Mayors for their unity and assured them that under his stewardship, the VMLP National Executive Board fully commits its support to their endeavors, especially in promoting responsive and effective governance across Central Visayas.
