Energy powers our schools, our homes, and our communities.

Watch as young Filipinos break down how nuclear energy is created, how electricity travels from power plants to our homes, and why reliable energy matters for our future.

Because when students understand energy, they also help power the future.

DOST-PNRI champions A.T.O.M.S during Open Gov Week

Championing the values of transparency, accountability and public service, the DOST-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute joins the rest of its fellow government agencies and as it participates in the Open Government (Open Gov) Week from May 18 to 22, 2026.

PNRI hosted its own A.T.O.M.S. (Accountability, Transparency, Opportunities, Management, and Services) Forum on May 21 with the theme "Navigating the Future of Peaceful Nuclear Science in the Philippines."

The forum showed to the public how nuclear science serves the Filipino people through an inside look at our agency's operations, research, and public services, as presented by PNRI's very own division chiefs, scientists and staff.

Meanwhile, frontline service staff from PNRI's various service and research sections welcomed professionals from the medical sector during a tour and orientation of the Institute's facilities, laboratories and processes.

Aiming to capitalize on the values of good governance and improved bureaucratic efficiency to deepen participatory governance and encourage the growing role of citizens and civil society groups in all stages of public decision-making, the President directs all national government agencies and instrumentalities to participate in the 2026 Open Gov Week through Memorandum Circular No. 119 s. 2026.
