Today, we celebrate World Press Freedom Dayโ€” a global call to honor press freedom's vital role in advancing human rights, sustainable development, and security.

Under the 2026 theme, "Shaping a Future at Peace," it urges governments to uphold freedom of expression as both a fundamental right and a practical tool for building resilient information societies.

Organized by UNESCO, the day spotlights free, independent journalism's power to foster peace, dialogue, and conflict prevention. Let us champion our brave journalists and reporters, the true voices of the nation upholding integrity and peace.

Easter Sunday calls us to riseโ€”not only in celebration, but in reflection of the hope and promise that comes with new life. In the light of His resurrection, we are reminded that no darkness lasts forever, and no burden is too heavy to be lifted. Today speaks of victoryโ€”not just of life over death, but of faith over fear, and hope over despair.

As we embrace this sacred day, may we open our hearts to renewal and transformation. Let us leave behind the doubts, the worries, and the things that hold us back from becoming who we are meant to be. Easter teaches us that growth begins when we choose to believe again, to stand again, and to trust even when the journey is uncertain.

May this day inspire us to live with purpose, to lead with compassion, and to carry a spirit of kindness in everything we do. In every small act of love and service, we reflect the true meaning of His resurrection.

Black Saturday is the holy space between sadness and happiness. It is a day of silence, reflection, and giving up. It reminds us that not every part of life is a party. Some times are meant for waiting, trusting, and believing even when we can't see the end result. Today, we sit in silence, remembering that hope can sometimes grow without anyone seeing or hearing it.

May this day remind us that waiting is not wasted time. It is preparation. It is healing. It is faith in motion. May our hearts find peace, our spirits find renewal, and our faith grows deeper, knowing that love never ends and hope always rises again, as we pause between sorrow and resurrection.

On this Maundy Thursday, let us remember the supreme sacrifice of Jesus and his act of humility in washing his disciples' feet, a reminder of the power of love and service.

As we gather at the foot of the cross, we're reminded of the profound love and service that Jesus embodied, a love that gave without condition and served without expectation.

"Love one another as I have loved you"

A commandment that echoes through time, calling us to humility, compassion, and selflessness.

As we recall the Last Supper and Jesus' ultimate sacrifice, may our hearts be stirred to love and serve one another. May this holy day be a time of deepened faith, gratitude, and surrender, as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.

May we strive to portray Jesus' example, washing the feet of those around us, and spreading love, kindness, and hope in a world that needs it.
