DATEM received top honors at the 2026 Construction Safety Awards organized by the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc., affirming that safety remains at the forefront of our operations.

Our residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects earned recognitions ranging from the Award of Distinction and Award of Merit to a Perfect Safety Record. These reflect millions of safe man-hours and our commitment to operational excellence.

Sa gitna ng abala sa DATEM Head Office, madalas mong makikita ang isang babaeng hindi gaanong katangkaran, nakasalamin, laging naka-ponytail, at may bitbit na folder. Siya si Liziel—o "Ate Liziel" sa lahat. Bagama't hindi siya ang nagtatayo ng mga gusali, isa siya ang nagpapanatili sa kaayusan ng opisina.Mula sa pagtiyak ng mga papeles hanggang sa pag-aalaga sa daloy ng trabaho ng mga lider, si Ate Liziel ang patunay na ang pinakamatibay na pundasyon ay madalas na hindi nakikita, ngunit ramdam sa bawat sulok ng gusali.

“Noong 2014 ako nagsimula sa DATEM sa ilalim ng isang facility management agency. Nagsimula ako sa first floor hanggang sa paakyat nang paakyat ang duty ko—umabot ako sa 6th floor, doon sa mga executives. Noong una ayaw ko pa dahil sa kaba at hiya, pero may kasamang pride na mapunta roon dahil gusto kong maayos ang trabaho ko.”

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa DATEM dahil sa loob ng mahigit sampung taon, sila ang nagbigay sa akin ng kabuhayan. Mahirap ang trabaho, pero magaan sa pusong pumasok araw-araw dahil alam kong pinapahalagahan ang ginagawa ko. Higit sa lahat, masaya ang community rito—mayroon ako niyan sa DATEM, at sa bahay rin.”

Hindi naging madali ang buhay para kay Ate Liziel. Sa kanyang limang anak, isa na lamang ang nag-aaral ngayon. “Naging maswerte ako dahil may biyenan akong tumulong magpalaki sa kanila noong pumanaw ang asawa ko. Lagi kong sinasabi sa mga anak ko, ‘Mahalin niyo ang trabaho niyo.’ Iyon ang itinuro ko sa kanila. Walang maliit na trabaho kung ginagawa nang may integridad at katapatan.”

Bibihirang ma-absorb ang isang outsourced employee, kaya naman ang kwento ni Ate Liziel ay hindi karaniwan. Puno ito ng pagsusumikap at malasakit na siya namang napansin ng kumpanya.

“Minsan may nagtatanong sa akin kung anong ginawa ko para ma-absorb. Sa totoo lang, hindi ko masabi. Hindi ko naman naging goal iyon o naisip na pwedeng mangyari. Ang tanging alam ko lang, basta araw-araw ay piliin mong magsumikap, maging tapat, at mahalin ang iyong ginagawa.”

DATEM Foundation and National University Philippines (NU) held a ceremonial contract signing at the NU Campus in Manila, officially launching the DATEMag-aaral Program. Through this scholarship initiative, DATEM will be supporting NU scholars in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Accountancy.
