NPC, BIR DISCUSS DATA PRIVACY CONSIDERATIONS ON REGISTRATION SEAL

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES - The National Privacy Commission (NPC) met with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Mendoza on 26 October 2026 at the BIR National Office to discuss the implementation of the BIR Registration Seal Badge and the data privacy considerations arising from this initiative.

NPC, Globe Collaborate to Strengthen Privacy Awareness and Online Safety for Filipino Youth

QUEZON CITY — The National Privacy Commission (NPC) and Globe Telecom, Inc. (Globe) formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 19 October 2026 at The Upper Class Tower in Quezon City to promote privacy awareness, digital wellness, responsible technology use, and online safety, particularly among Filipino youth.

The NPC was represented by Privacy Commissioner Atty. Johann Carlos S. Barcena, CESO III, while Globe was represented by Chief Privacy Officer and Head of the Digital Policy and Governance Group, Atty. Irish Krystle Salandanan-Almeida.
