and later they made these drawings moved by pasting it on sticks. The first puppet show on stick was entitled “PAMAYANAN”, from then on the news about stick puppets drawing crowds spread through-out the four corners of Quezon City Public Library, and everything else was history. Marlyn Bautista and Ms. Evelyn Garcia for this ingenuity since then stick puppets had performed almost in cell district of Quezon City and it was all a success. Because of the efficiency of the program, the City librarian Ms. Emelita L. Villanueva gave her full support. And to enhance and upgrade the puppets she sent the puppeteers to seminars at the Manila City Library. Six (6) puppets and One (1) Mascot was the product of that seminar. The group started with 4 members in the person of Marlyn Bautista, Evelyn Garcia, Crisanta Mendoza, and Emerlina Tan. With their efforts in creating a theater-like performance, they tried doing it with music and produced a good show. Their first show was performed inside the Lagro Library and after a month they did a daring move to perform outside the library building in front of the teachers and students of a Day Care class, together with the Brgy. Officials, they performed the first outreach show.
