820 NEW PNP RECRUITS TAKE OATH UNDER CY 2025 ATTRITION RECRUITMENT PROGRAM
A total of 820 successful Patrolman and Patrolwoman applicants officially took their oath as new members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during an Oath-Taking Ceremony held at the Transformational Oval, Camp Crame, under the Calendar Year (CY) 2025 PNP Attrition Recruitment Program for the PNP National Support Units (NSUs).
The ceremony was presided over by Acting Chief, Philippine National Police, Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., who congratulated the new recruits for successfully hurdling the rigid and transparent recruitment process under the PNP Recruitment and Selection Service’s Nameless and Faceless system.
“These 820 recruits proved that merit, discipline, and determination still matter. Sariling sikap ninyo ang nagdala sa inyo rito,” PLTGEN Nartatez said.
The newly sworn-in recruits will be deployed to various PNP National Support Units, including the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (75), PNP Drug Enforcement Group (207), Communications and Electronics Service (83), Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (78), Anti-Kidnapping Group (51), Special Action Force (53), Headquarters Support Services (200), and the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (73).
In his message, the Acting Chief PNP emphasized the importance of discipline and focus during the recruits’ upcoming training, reminding them that basic training is the foundation of their policing career.
“Take time sa training ninyo. Siguraduhin ninyong makuha lahat ng itinuturo, dahil ito ang pundasyon ng pagiging pulis,” he said. “Some of you may not make it because of academics, physical demands, or even emotions. Kaya seryosohin ninyo ito. Nakapagsumpa na kayo ngayon. Ang mahalaga, tinuturuan namin kayo kung paano maging tunay na police officer.”
He further reminded the recruits to exercise caution when granted passes during training, noting that some have previously figured in accidents, been led astray by vices, or become involved in criminal activities—warnings that underscored how a single wrong decision could cost them the future they have worked hard to achieve.
“I hope 10 months or a year from now, these newly recruits standing will be the same of number, 820 of them. Hintayin naming kayo pagkatapos ng training na ito. The PNP will be embracing you, specially in the transformation of the Philippine National Police,” he added.
A highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic turnover of Salary ATM Cards to the new recruits under the Regular and Attrition Quota CY 2025 nationwide, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of uniformed personnel from the very start of their service, even during basic training.
Earlier this month, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed Executive Order No. 107, which increases the base pay and daily subsistence allowance of military and uniformed personnel, including the PNP. The revised salary schedule will be implemented in tranches, with the first tranche taking effect on January 1, 2026, followed by subsequent adjustments in 2027 and 2028.
Under the first tranche, the base pay of a Patrolman will increase from ₱29,668.00 to ₱31,151.00, while the daily subsistence allowance will rise from ₱150.00 to ₱350.00 per day, equivalent to ₱10,500.00 per month. With the adjusted base pay, increased allowances, and other benefits, new recruits are expected to receive an estimated gross monthly pay of ₱44,821.00 starting January 2026.
The oath-taking marked the beginning of the recruits’ journey as police officers committed to honor, discipline, and public service. As they enter training, the Philippine National Police looks forward to welcoming them back as fully equipped protectors of the people, ready to serve with integrity and dedication.
