From Mother Earth Foundation PH: We are still accepting donations to Project Tuloy - our initiative to support waste workers who continue to provide essential services of waste collection and sanitation in our Zero Waste communities.

True to our values, support will be provided without the unnecessary waste and plastic pollution. This will be done thru the Kusina ni Juan - a community kitchen which aims to provide healthy and freshly cooked food served in reusable containers. In other areas, we will be providing relief packs containing rice, sanitation essentials and vegetables. This way, we will be also be supporting our farmers.

Donation may be sent via GCASH or Paymaya, or via bank transfers to our RCBC and BPI accounts (from any bank via online transfer). Please send a copy of your donation to [email protected], or via Viber/Whatsapp to 09198838799.

"Going zero waste is a significant but also a big step for me to take — it’s like learning a new skill at an age where I’ve been bombarded by plastic from these corporations I’m depending my daily needs on. But i’ve seen plastic pollute the very streets I pass by everyday, i’ve seen it hurt a turtle & a bird in a Youtube video, I’ve seen it buried in our backyard & still intact, I’ve seen it degrade the islands I go to and I’ve seen it harm people & our planet by other’s burning it. I think these are the things that pushed me to be more mindful of my waste and take steps towards a zero waste lifestyle."

"As part of the youth, one of my main goals is to help in taking care of our one and only home, the planet Earth, for our children's children. I still believe that we can still bring back what has been taken and restore what has been destroyed.

Everyday, I make sure that I always bring my 'ZERO WASTE KIT' in me, which includes stainless cutleries, reusable tumblers, stainless straws, and eco-bags. Likewise, as a Zero Waste practitioner, I always refuse using single-use plastics. But what I, together with my fellow advocates, really do is we educate the youth about the simple things that they can do to save the Earth, because we believe that educating our fellow youth is equal to educating generations after generations."
