With profound sorrow and heartfelt gratitude, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) mourns the passing of Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, a distinguished former Commissioner of the PACUCOA Board of Directors.
Dr. Macasinag dedicated her life to advancing quality assurance in higher education with unwavering integrity, wisdom, and commitment. Through her years of devoted service as former Commissioner and as an accreditor, she inspired institutions, colleagues, and fellow educators to pursue excellence, uphold the highest standards of accreditation, and remain committed in the meaningful mission of transforming education.
Beyond her remarkable professional achievements, Dr. Macasinag will be remembered for her compassionate leadership, and genuine concern for the academic community. Her guidance and invaluable contributions have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations of educators and quality assurance advocates.
On behalf of PACUCOA Board of Directors and Secretariat, we extend our deepest condolences to her family, loved ones, friends, and all whose lives she touched. We join them in prayer, giving thanks for a life lived with purpose, dedication, and faith.
